I heard Hossa is a done deal, agent and GM both waiting for Hossa's approval to sign the papers, there will be a press conference on wednesday if it's done. Apperantly Hossa will give a descision by 10 p.m.

* Rumor * = Someone told me on my MSN apperantly related to someone with organization.

If this become reality, you'll be my new hero (After Hossa of course) :)

What a day, Hossa March wallpaper & hopefully this comes through.

Thanks KG

I share your sentiment! If it is indeed long-term... it just might be enough to go out and invest in a Hossa jersey...:thumbup:

Dnalke told me something different, wrap your mind around this great trade

Hossa, Ericsson, Kindl and our first round picks for the next 2 years to Calgary for Bertuzzi....

...I know its what we all want!

Technically it would not be a lifelong contract. Life is from birth to death. If you meant a LONG term contract, then we gotcha.

!

I dunno...I think that we should start drafting and signing them at birth to keep the cap number down. 40 year deals Kenny. Get it done!

I'm not questioning the validity of this, but we must be talking about a late press conference if this in fact happens given Kenny is likely going to be a little busy tomorrow during the day.

I guess this whole thing was slowed by Hossa being in the hospital.

So long, Huddles (unless The Amazing Midget Man is willing to take pennies to stay).

Which is precisely why they should have traded Filppula.

...and give up a very valuable piece right before the playoffs?

Hudler's a RFA. If Detroit loses him, they'll be compensated somehow -- whether it be via trade or another team signing him to an offer sheet.

You're losing a lot more letting Hudler go than Filppula. I have no problem seeing a player that doesn't shoot the puck, sometimes looks downright confused in the offensive zone and holds onto the puck too long go rather than a player that, given the ice time, can potentially get 80 or more points. Flip's a good defensive player, no doubt, but the Wings have plenty of forwards that can do that.
