Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 So does this mean a Kopecky for Neil trade is finally plausible? Lets hope! Great game Ozzie with the shutout!! Downey with the fight and 4-5 big hits, everyone had a good game tonight. Except Sammy, with everybody scoring, he's back to scapegoat.

Guest Four Report post Posted March 4, 2009 This game is very.. different Hossa could potentially be a lot more injured than he is (thank you!), Kopy had not only got 3 points and a +2 rating, but was player of the game, the bottom lines got more points than our top lines, WE FOUGHT?!, OZZIE GOT A SHUTOUT??!!?!? SWEET SWEET RED WINGS <
Namingway 146 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 YESSSSS!! Great to see Ozzy get the SO! I think it's what he really needed. Great defensive play against the blues. Erricsson looked pretty solid and got a point on his first game. GREAT fight by downey, good to see a good figher on our side for a change Looking forward to the next game! Let's Go Red Wings! All the most hated Wings actually did good. Is that even possible? I'm scared. Confused. I feel like I'm facing an unknown world.

Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Kopecky = 3 Points Filppula = 1 Goal Osgood = Shutout ... This Is MADNESS!!! Strange, strange happenings tonight. Certainly not complaining.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 That was a very nice bounce back effort. Great to see the strong PK and team defense. Great to see Ozzie get the shutout and play a solid game. Really nice to see Kopecky getting it done. This game had it all, eh? The physical play was really amped up and the fight was a doozie! Only downer was the Hossa injury, but the preliminary results on that don't sound too bad.
syntax 359 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Congrats to Ozzie for the SO. I thought he was solid in goal with good rebound control and positioning. Good game with a good fight too. Great night (besides the Hossa situation)! Edited March 4, 2009 by syntax

sureWhyNot 19 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) THAT A WAY BOYS!!! Way to bounce back -- Ozzie with a great game, hopefully this is the turnaround we have been expecting. Kopecky with a shortie, a couple assists and some beastly hits, Flip with a nice goal and hopefully the slumpbuster he's been looking for, Erikson with a great showing, Draps with another, Downey with an epic fight, Lebda making a nice defensive play, Datsyuk being Datsyuk, etc, etc, etc. What a game -- much needed after Nashville and I think it will bring these guys closer together heading into the home stretch. Weird, last game was beyond depressing, and this game is in my opinion one of the better and important (due to so many diff. factors) games of the season. Good stuff - tomorrow is trade deadline day. Probably nothing big, but fun to follow none the less. s*** -- I forgot to include Kronner's goal. Edited March 4, 2009 by sureWhyNot
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 So who's LGW going to dog now? Ozzies looking sharp, Kopecky's been good lately and Flip broke his scoring drought tonight?
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I missed the Hossa situation: He got hit face-first into the boards, right? And he's entirely okay, just rest and he should come back, right? The clip I saw looked really serious. As for Kopy, I'm always glad when a Wing does good, let's hope it boosts his trade value (if we trade, if not, I'm glad to keep him really cheap). As for Ozzie, this is HUGE! I think he's been playing back to his old level, even in the debacle of the Nashville game, so I see thsi shutout as the continuation of the recovery of his game. So glad he's back.
