GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 So who's LGW going to dog now? Ozzies looking sharp, Kopecky's been good lately and Flip broke his scoring drought tonight? Well, Lidstrom hasn't scored in a couple of games.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 This is the 1st time I've seen Ozzie play since "the break", so I don't know what hes looked like since returning, but while he didnt see many tough shots tonight, there were a couple stops he made where you could easily say he wouldn't have made that stop a few weeks ago. Good to see. Proud of our depth tonight.
Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 So who's LGW going to dog now? Ozzies looking sharp, Kopecky's been good lately and Flip broke his scoring drought tonight? Marian Hossa has too many injuries. He isn't reliable in the playoffs.

Peleshob 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Strange, strange happenings tonight. Certainly not complaining. I'm not complaining at all. It does wonder for stress levels when I don't go, "What the !@#$ Kopecky/Flip/Ozzie"
stevieisthebest 80 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Good solid win tonight I guess, a win is a win. Good for Ozzie, Good for Kop, and Good for Drapes...and yes, it's good to see Downey back. I hope Jackman dies on his way home....
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Lebda. While a plausible answer, he did save a goal tonight.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 I was worried the Wings would play distracted after Hossa was carted off there, and I wouldn't have blamed them. Maybe the scare was actually a wake-up call for this team to not take things for granted.

Casey 145 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Okay, so I start Ozzie on my fantasy team every game, he has a GAA over 3. The one night I forget to start him, he gets a shutout. I'm a lock for the playoffs already. I'll take the hit.
Peleshob 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) I can only assume that when Kopecky saw his lover fellow countryman go down... it lit a fire deep inside. Edited March 4, 2009 by Peleshob

Casey 145 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 YUP! I was born in Iceland...it's flat out SHOCKING when someone knows something about that place...SHOCKING... I admit a little jealousy- genealogy is simpler in the Icelandic records than in Irish and American, due to the presence of last names.
sureWhyNot 19 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Ha ha, I was one of the people hoping we picked up Neil -- looks like I'm s*** out of luck. Oh well -- great game tonight, can't ask for and wouldn't want much more then that.
motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Great game. Sound in all areas. Pp, Pk and even strength. Osgood played well. And whether all the shots were tough or not, he looked very confident in net. I guess the naysayers will say it's the Blues and we always beat 'em. Oh well. It was also nice to see Ozzie state how the Wings weren't doing much of anything good earlier this year, yet we're in pretty good shape. LOL @ those who picked Downey over guys like Kopecky and Ericsson for player of the game. Hahaha. Some people just don't get it. Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 gonna be fun tomorrow Is it truly true that the Avs have beat us three times already this season? If so, their a-hole fans will be out in droves with their "Wings Suck" tees.
Pasha13 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 This game is very.. different Hossa could potentially be a lot more injured than he is (thank you!), Kopy had not only got 3 points and a +2 rating, but was player of the game, the bottom lines got more points than our top lines, WE FOUGHT?!, OZZIE GOT A SHUTOUT??!!?!? SWEET SWEET RED WINGS <3 Wait...how could Kopecky have 3 points but be +2 in a shutout?
Peleshob 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Wait...how could Kopecky have 3 points but be +2 in a shutout? One of his goals was PP. No +/- on a special teams goal.
Vladifan 680 Report post Posted March 4, 2009 Only 1 thing needs to be added to that list to make it complete You want Jerry Hoodler to do something too, huh. Me too. I'd say he's about due.
