He played a major role in our past STANLEY CUP winning teams, give the man credit on his accomplishments and save the flaming for the plenty of other negative threads about him on internet. There's other threads to do that in - like the CBJ/DET game-day thread. There's no need to interject that into a thread meant as congratulations. And I know he's never going to read it - but the premise of it still makes it pretty classless. I don't see how any person can not say that Osgood has been a good goalie at some point and is deserving of at least some sort of recognition . Obviously there would be a slew of 'what have you done for me lately people', but man this thread title could not be anymore fairer. There's a difference between respecting his accomplishments and involvement with the organization in the past, and completely failing to recognize that he has not performed well at all this season. You can be critical and respectful at the same time (most people seem to have a grasp on this with players like McCarty, who will always be loved by the fans, but is clearly done career-wise) I'd say he pretty much stole the game a week or so back against the Kings. Honoring Ozzie for what he's already accomplished and respecting what he's done for the Wings. I got carried away and helped screw up the direction and for that, I'm sorry. You can ***** and moan all you want and drag the guy through six feet of mud, but that's the truth. I'n not talking about a Stanley Cup 11 years ago. This was last summer.
