David 2 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Of the four games I watched today, three went to a shootout I really hope OT is increased to 10 minutes or so sometime in the near future.
Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 The Kings will definately be in the playoffs next year. They have a great young defence core, and a solid guy in O'Donell to lead them. Plus they got some good forwards and cap space to play with. 1:20, if this goes to a shootout... They still can make the playoff this year. Playoff race is left with around 16 games for each team. I knew they would be good but I worried their goalies. However, they now have Jonathan Quick and Ersberg who are good prospects and can be good goalies. If they can have some veterans, they will be a good team Whatever, it is going to shoot out let's see

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Good freaking Lord, the Kings had what, 4 chances to win? Wasted a great performance from Ersberg. Edited March 15, 2009 by Hockeytown0001
Shockwave180 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) The Kings are freaking useless. Four bloody opportunities to win in the shootout and couldn't take one of them. It wasn't even Nabokov, either. Brown and Frolov both had him deked and couldn't control it. Useless. That's a big win for the Sharks, unfortunately. They're not playing well, but they have a much easier run-in, and this win keeps them in the driver's seat. A dropped point would've been huge there. I'm way more irritated than I should be. Freaking Kings. Edited March 15, 2009 by Shockwave180

Brown and Frolov both had him deked and couldn't control it. Useless. You're tellin' me. I can't believe the Kings didn't win this. So many opportunities to take a win well before the shootout ever started. However, that's the worst quality of a young bottom-feeder. They often manage to lose games they have every chance to win. It takes a few years to develop into a winner like Pittsburgh, Washington or Chicago.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 What a disgusting performance by a bunch of choking dog losers. A 2 on 0 and they can't even get off a shot? Plus all the pathetic shootout attempts. Never mind the seed implications for the Red Wings, I'm talking about what they just did for their goaltender. That poor kid stood on his head and stopped chance after chance, and that sorry assemblage of dogsh** in front of him squandered it. I understand the Sharks are a good defensive team, but that was the worst offensive display I've seen in a long time. They never even really had the puck the whole game. Just occasionally flung a loose puck towards the net. Their PP looked like even strength. What an awful team.

Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted March 15, 2009 The Refs made some horrible calls in this game. Kings were worn down from all the PKs, plus they have no veteran leadership... Kings gave a good hard working effort. Despite the Kings losing this game, I think they should feel good that they played so tight defensively (and on the PK). Good effort but they lack goal scorers. Guest mindfly Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Coach was happy though "We played very well," Kings coach Terry Murray said. "Coming into San Jose at 3 in the morning from Vancouver and coming out with that kind of performance, it was as good as they can play."
