3/20 GDT: Red Wings 6 at Thrashers 3

I'm torn. I want to face the Thrashers without Kovalchuk in the lineup, but I have him in my hockey pool, so every game he misses is putting a damper on me holding the lead.

With that said, I'm psyched for a good game tonight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another strong game out of Ozzie, and naturally, a win. I won't make any predictions, since we seem to play better when I don't.

Hossa gets 16 goals against his former club to take the lead over Ovechkin in scoring. However, a loophole in Arby's hat-trick deal means no free sandwiches are given out. Apparantly it doesn't count if one player accumulates more than one trick in the same game.

Hank has assists on all goals to break into the top 10 in points.

Ozzie makes 45 saves on 46 shots, but 90% of the GDT is still dedicated to analyzing the one goal he let in.

I can't wait for the game tonight! We'll be sitting about 4 rows back from the Red Wings bench! Wish they played in ATL more. For everyone saying that the Wings will slaughter Atlanta, don't jinx them! Remember the heinous 8-0 Nashville game last month? I do, I was there and they were supposed to win that game too. The Thrashers have looked really good lately and Kari Lehtonen has been coming up huge in net. I think it will be a good game, probably a goal or two separating them.

Wings win. The Thrashers have been playing rather well without Kovalchuk but either way I can't see them being much of a threat without him. He's a huge part of their team and I can't see them scoring much without.
