Cheli and Jones Sodas

I was at Great Lakes Crossing Mall in Auburn Hills last week and saw a sign outside of a store, Gateway Newstand, that said they carried Limited Edition Chris Chelios Jones Soda. Being a chump, I wanted to add this to my useless collection of Red Wings memorabilia. However when I walked in and asked/looked around, there were none. The lady who worked there said she was fairly new and had no clue exactly what it was about. So I called the place today to find someone who might know and I was informed that they (the people working at the store) are getting really frustrated because people keep asking about them but they never receive any from the company. Plus, it's luck of the draw if they get any or not. It like a lottery.

So my question here, has anyone stumbled across from any of them? I would love to have one. I looked online but had no luck. I did find what the labels look like.

Sparty's Convenience Stores on the MSU campus has tons of them. They have been there for months. It only comes in Creme Soda flavored though which is stupid.

Darn! I was hoping for the Red Apple. I guess they picked Red and White colors. How clever? Now I need to find a way to get there (you'd think living in the actually city of Detroit would be an advantage - nope).

Thanks for sharing this! I would love to see those in person, but being down here in TN, I don't think that's gonna happen.

Actually, look around! There's none I swear in the actually city of Detroit but my aunt saw a few while in Arizona.

If anyone needs help finding them in the metro Detroit Area, let me know. I might be able to help... after I get my hands on them... ;-)

My dad still has the bottle of 'Hasek Sauce' I bought him years ago when I worked at Meijer. I was always curious of what it actually was like but I'd be scared to open it at this point, and my old man would probably blow a fuse. It sits on his living room mantle still.

The Chelios soda is waay cooler though I mean you get like what 7 different pictures of him, freaking collector's gold!

I'm having a tough time deciding if I'd want the "Reclining Chelli" or a "Manic Face Chelli."

A couple of months ago at a grocery store, I saw a cardboard cut out up here for Webber Naturals pharmaceuticals that had Chris Chelios smiling with a bottle of their pills and a contest to "Chill out with Chelios" that could win tickets to a Wings game, an auto'd Wings jersey and a dinner with Chelios at his restaurant. Since I'm not an old man, I decided against buying some of their product and entering the contest.

When you're grocery shopping in northern Alberta in 2009, pretty much the last thing you expect to see is Chris Chelios' smiling face on a promotional cardboard cutout.
