Wings might have signed the next Mike Green...

For some reason, I am very confused.

The attacker Voltigeurs agreed on the terms of a three-year contract with the Boston Bruins. Riendeau, who has never been recovered, has amassed 58 goals and 126 points during the regular season. During the first round of face to MAINEiacs Lewiston, hockey than 5 feet 11 inches and 178 pounds has also accumulated 19 points in just four games.

Then it's on to this...

The agreement is twofold (NHL-AHL) and will begin next season. The player 20 years completing his fifth season in the QMJHL. It has evolved four seasons with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies before joining the Voltigeurs.

For his part, Piché was heard for three years with the Detroit Red Wings.

Are you sure he didn't sign w/ Boston?

Holy crap, he's a suitcase! Been moved 4 times in 5 seasons. He's the Mike Sillinger of the Q...

And it looks like he's just recently figured out where the net is. 10 goals in his first 227 games, and 29 goals in 83 games since the beginning of last year's playoffs. Looks like his overage year has been very good to him!

yeap 2 players...

The forward, who signed with the bruins, had in 4 playoffsgames... 19 points

Never heard of this Piché before (the one who signed with the wings).

19 points in 4 games is impressive but it was also in the Q where playing defense is a sin.

I googled him and according to a site called ballhype, in 2007 Shawinigan traded him to Rouyn-Norlanda for forward Ashton Bernard, defenceman Dilan Theriault, a 2nd round pick in '08 and a 1st rounder in ' 09 . The Huskies must have liked his play.................

You havent seen many "Q" games have you?

That's what I was thinking. Many seem to think the Q is a super high scoring league based on reputation. Like everything else, things change. The NHL was very high scoring in the 70's and 80's.....would you say the same now?

I agree that it's not fair to characterize the QMJHL as a league where "playing defense is a sin". But let's not go crazy here- the Q is hardly a defense first or even defense balanced with offense league... in the QMJHL defense is most definitely secondary to offense, at least for most teams. I mean look at the European leagues in Russia and Sweden- the Q is definitely run and gun compared to those leagues.

The Q and OHL both tend to produce way more high scoring players than any other major league around...
