YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Personally, NBC' grainy footage and piss poor camera angle is what turns me off from it. And then theres Doc's use of "waffleboard"
McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 I hope someday we get to a point with technology in TV that we can select a video feed and then separately select an audio feed. For example, you can have the video feed matched with the Red Wings Radio announcers, Wild radio announcers, Red Wings TV announcers, Wild TV announcers, or Nightly Blow Crosby s***ty announcers. Someday... someday
norrisnick 1 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 You're right. "Somebody please injure one of our own players" is a no-no. So is this post, except that I needed it to quote in order to get the point across. "Osgood sucks" and "I hope he gets hurt" are exactly the kind of posts that don't belong. And before you say it, criticism of players is not being censored, as it's perfectly acceptable to call that a dumb pass or a bad play or whatever. But it'll never be acceptable to openly wish for a career-ending injury to one of our players. Kerrigan took home silver after she got clubbed. Just sayin'... boomer 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 You aren't wrong, but coaches just seem to want to activate goalies even if they might be high risk. Ozzie obviously isn't a good puck handler, so he's probably going to make a few more mistakes than others. When's the last good puck handler the Wings had? Stop blowing your excuses he had years to improve on this dimension of his game, but he never has in over 15 years.
clutchngrab 12 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 What would be cool is the audio experience of being at the game w/out any announcers other than the PA guy.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 5, 2009 For what reason? Pierre is enough to make me despise NBC. I've despised American national telecasts for years. (ESPN/ABC/NBC/Versus/OLN) They need to be taught the art of shutting the f*** up or removing the color commentary guy so he won't give the broadcast the urge to sit there and talk about nonsensical crap while the puck is in play. McCartyFanForLife 17 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Personally, NBC' grainy footage and piss poor camera angle is what turns me off from it. And then theres Doc's use of "waffleboard" I remember screaming at my TV during last year's Stanley Cup playoffs when they use that stupid "bumble bee camera" that looks over the zone straight at the goalie. You can't see the play developing or anything. It pisses me off.

I have an idea, why don't you go to the Leafs forum instead since you never have anything good to say about any Red Wing anyways. Obvious troll is obvious. titanium2 867 Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Just hearing Doc Emrick say DRIIIIIVE!!! is enough for me to like it. A drive that got waffleboarded, knifed on by Crosby to Malkin, who finessed it back to the stick of Crosby who reflexes it through and FIDDLES it by the defenseman and... SCORES!!!... wait, no, what do we have?

Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted April 5, 2009 Conklin made a bigger bone-head play last game that Ozzie did in this game. Difference is, Conklin single-handedly lost us that game with his bone-head play, wereas, Ozzie's was just a brain fart. I'll take Ozzie for the playoffs. Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted April 5, 2009 What's the Cup made out of? It'd be nice to take first in our conference. We need to win the next 5 and SJ will need to lose two more in regulation. If SJ plays like last night, that is very possible.
