Neatest part of that goal (other than it was a goal) is that Flip didn't have time to try to pass it like the crezzy Euro that he is. It was just a wrist-jerk shot. LOVED it.

It was a laser, but it was unscreened. The goalie shouldn't have any problems with it. I'm unsure if Conks was even ready for the play.

Thats no shocker. Conklin will get a raise, and Howard makes slightly less than Conks did last year. I just pray to god that the Wings keep a bit of a cushion in the event that they need to add a goalie at the deadline.

I thought, at the beginng of the game, that there would be very few penalties called. Some one would have to shoot somebody to get one. They've been making cheap calls against Detroit, yet Homer has been face down on the ice a few times. Edited April 11, 2009 by MidMichSteve
