Game 2 on NHL Network

Great news if this is true.

However, I thought the NHL network did broadcast some games last year? I could be wrong, however. Anyway, the last time I checked my tv schedule guide, it didn't look like the NHL network would show any games from any series.

Yep, this was my complaint about Center Ice Online which I'm sure they'll improve sometime soon, or maybe NHL Network joins the 21st century and gets live internet streams for their games. People with the TV Center Ice will be fine, and those without Center Ice and TV (which are far more people) can rejoice. I was wondering days ago what games the NHL Network would broadcast.

This was one of the reasons I switched to DirecTV last year. Sounds like TimeWarner in my area did add NHLN earlier in the season, but I know there's still plenty of areas where cable subscribers don't get the Network. I'd be uber-pissed if that was the case for me, especially in the playoffs.

Personally I dunno why people still even use cable anymore, but maybe that's a discussion for another topic. I do know for at least a couple years now both Dish and DirecTV have had NHL Network.

Actually according to the Center Ice Round 1 schedule for my area (east coast) the game is now blacked out because of this...so unless you have NHL network here you're screwed. NHL network is a pay channel on Comcast, $5 more a month.

EDIT: This is the schedule I see for East Coast Comcast Center Ice customers:

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but Game 2 will be on NHL Network apparently. I noticed something was wrong when the game wasn't on the center ice playoffs schedule nor on Versus. Here's the link

I haven't been able to find the center ice playoff schedule. Where did you find it?

Great news for me. The fewer games I have to watch on FSN-Ohio with those drooling idiots, the happier I am (assuming we'll have the TSN feed on NHL Network). I was pretty much resigned to having to watch them for every non-Versus game, since the BJs are blacked out on CI/GameCenter as the local team.

some people live in apartments that face north or east and don't have the required southwest exposure making a sat. dish impossible. I really don't understand why some people just don't understand that some can't get a dish or can't get NHL Network???? Why jump to conclusions?

like anyone in Wis. that has crappy Charter cable, (one of the 2 largest cable providers in the state) ---- they don't offer it, don't even offer MLB extra innings for instance. This years PO's are shaping up as pretty bad for some. Red Wings fans.

If you are in the local FSN-Ohio viewing area, you might actually have the NHL network feed blacked out. That has happened often where I am that if the Wild were on NHL network during hockey night in Canada, but the game was on FSN-North, I was blacked out of the NHL network feed (which I would have preferred).

Just an FYI to East Coast Comcast people...as of Tuesday they moved NHL Network into the 700 range in your channel guide (here it changed to 734 from 276). They didn't actually send out any notice, they just changed it

I have Charter down here and while I would certainly prefer the cable provider where I used to live due to a few other channels that Charter doesn't offer, I get NHL Network down here. And Center Ice has worked without problems the first two nights of the playoffs. Chicago-Calgary was broadcasted from the start on Center Ice, didn't have to worry about not missing it due to multiple coverage on Versus/joining in progress, etc.

zata20, if you don't have NHL Network, you are S.O.L. unfortunately if you are trying to watch it at your house. My advice, find a restaurant/bar that carries NHL Network.
