Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Yeah....now that I look at it, there is absolutely no way that would have counted had the Red Wings scored it.
Gizmo 21 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 We totally would have been called for Goaltender Interference on that Chi goal. Agreed... How was that not interference???
C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 wow the little i watched from that game calgary was totally dominating.. guess chicago turned it on? Yeah, the Hawks were pretty much all over them for the last 10 and OT. I want to catch the replay again to look at the interference, I missed it before... mjlegend 155 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I've said it before and I'll say it again: Clagary = teh suck I was thinking tonight that Chicago would be a nice, classic WCF opponent, not that I'm looking too far ahead. If this team gets by Columbus and (maybe) Vancouver, a good ol' rivalry would flare up this year and in future years against another Central Division opponent. Might be a good way to care about the regular season again.
EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 My god this is the Duck's first penalty? There is something very disturbing and wrong about that.
hak 21 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 My god this is the Duck's first penalty? There is something very disturbing and wrong about that. what was the most suprising was pronger avoiding someone in the first period.. anyone know what im talking about? shark player chased the puck towards pronger who were skating backwards and just when i was expecting a big ugly hit from pronger he just steps aside and let the shark player by.. DOES NOT COMPUTE!

Might be a good way to care about the regular season again. That's a good point. Having a real, legitimate rival, especially within the division, would make the regular season a lot more interesting both for the team and for the fans. That being said, for the most part, the Wings always showed up against Chicago this year, with the last two games being a notable exception.
David 2 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 6 shots in over 30 minutes of play for the Ducks. Jesus, they're barely watchable.
ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 You know, I want the f***s to knock off the Sharks just because, but they are really not very cooperative.

Vincanni 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Rob Neidermayer is absolutely toxic out there tonight, he's like a lost puppy without Pahlson.
C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Anaheim definitely made the right call in net...still trying to figure out why most of you wanted to avoid these guys though. Sure there's the travel, but if you finish your series a week early, that doesn't make that much difference.

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Is it just me, or is the overall quality of play by most teams looked worse than last season? Seems like everyone was playing at a higher level in the playoffs last year.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Maybe, I think the goaltending has been pretty solid for the most part compared to last year though.
mjlegend 155 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 So many division rivals are playing each other tonight and yet there seems to be more feeling out than Catholic school prom night. Hopefully the neutral games get better as the first round wears on.
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Thornton and Marleau have been invisible tonight, I hope the Ducks take advantage.
