It's official: CBJ fans are the dumbest in sports

I never joined and I stopped even reading. You could tell they had a problem when they went to that system where you had to get recommended by someone. A nice idea but the problem is, everyone there was already stupid, so they just recommend other stupid people. Like shutting the gate after the sheep all escape.

Or kind of like marrying your cousin. Inbreeding verbally....

At the Hitchcock comment:

While we are at it why don't we just not allow the goal to stand since there was no other goals in the 3rd and it looked destined for OT maybe the refs should have called something so obvious off, perhaps we can also tweak the Earth's axis and tear a hole in the space-time continuum for Hitchcock.

 Thanks. I was thinking about forcing my blood pressure up till I read this.

Guys, I really think we should give it up now. Columbus had their first playoff experience ever - and they put up a hell of a fight in the last game. It's disappointing to their fans to have to end the season on the call that they did. If it was our team, we'd be furious. Some of their fans threw bottles on the ice - classless move, we all agree. But that's not ALL of their fans. I don't think this thread is helping any of the stereotypes that Wings fans are arrogant and cocky, etc.

We're better than this. Let's act like it.

Well, Jackets fans, the Refs let your man play with two sticks earlier in the series, but 6 guys was just too much to let go. ITs about damn time we get a call in our favor for once that actually helped us in the outcome of the game! Too many times the Red Wings get those ticky tack calls against them at a very crucial part of the game, oh, just 3 or 4 come to time since 2007 when they Datsyuk for a weak hooking call against the Ducks to the latest phantom hook in the last :30 seconds of the last game at the Joe against Chicago. It happens, I am just glad it benefited us for once!

I dont hate their fans as much (Im from Ohio) but I HATE their announcers. They kept saying last night they deserved a better fate and Mason kept them in it. Mason was horrible last night. He might of made 2-3 nice saves but thats it

Actually I wouldn't be furious, because it was a GOOD CALL.

Just like the Hudler high stick in game 5 of the finals last year. Good call.

i went to the game and everyone i talked to was really cool. I really only had one bad experience with a guy and eveyrone around me apoligized for the way he acted. most people were also apoligizing for the people that threw all that stuff on the ice (which by the way, the fsn feed didnt really do it justice. there was a lot of stuff thrown out there) anyway overall it was a really good experience for me. everyone was very nice. jsut a little good natured ribbing which is to be expected

ps that place is like the white house compared to the joe. it was my first experience to any other arena besides jpoe louis and it was great. it was cool havin so many bars within walking distance with alot of people staying after the game to jsut hang out. that never happens in detroit...

Seeing the Columbus fans throwing bottles and stuff out on the ice reminded me of a Michigan - Ohio State game years ago at Yost...the Ohio State fans were throwing pennies on the ice that night. Dangerous as all hell in both cases. What if you would have hit someone? Did you ever think of that?

Yeah really. Maybe the dumbest fans in sports are the ones who think that their own fanbase doesn't have their own share of idiots.

Case in point, waaaaaaay back in the early 90s, I went to a Blackhawks/Red Wings game at the old Chicago Stadium (The Madhouse on Madison). I'm a Wings fan, my dad is a die-hard Hawks fan. Anyway, I think the game was tied or we were leading by one...it was close, and this guy behind me who was bedecked in Wings gear from head to toe, starts screaming that all Blackhawks fans are "drunken inbreds" and that Red Wings fans are God's chosen fans.

Now I'm 10, maybe 11 years old and my dad turns around and tells the guy to shut up, his child was sitting right next to him. What does the guy do? Says that since he's a Hawks fan, he must be a "drunken inbred" and then asks if I'm actually his wife. Real classy. The guy got thrown out and dumped on the curb outside, but did my dad go around thinking that all Red Wings fans were like that jackass? No, he didn't.

So let's stop with the pompous assertions that because these Blue Jackets fans acted like idiots, that ALL of their fans act the same. It's rude, it's stupid and it makes you look like a fool. Now if that's what you were going for, congrats....it worked.

CBJ deserves anything that comes their way due to the bulls*** some of their fans started at JLA and then attacking a Wings fan at their arena. The Columbus media and the HFB were giving the guy a virtual blow job for assault which the last time I checked was against the law. What is worse the guy was not prosecuted. Oh yeah, CBJ did not play that well in game 4, the Wings just did not play like they should and Ozzie was clearly playing injured.

I bleed Red. Either your with us or against us. It is the playoffs, game on! We roll hardcore with our hats tilted to the side.

A Jackets fan got beat up at the Joe as well. There's assholes and morons on both sides of the fence. I still say there's no need to be acting this way.

The jackets fan that got his ass kicked by JLA Security was the same ******* who smashed the kids head into the glass in Columbus.

Did you know that?

No. But it doesn't make it okay to act like a pompous *******.

Do what you want. I'm certainly not trying to tell you what to do.. but not every Columbus fan beats up little kids and octopi throwers. Keep that in mind.

But.... I like bedtime stories. ^_^

Well maybe Ken "give me corn dog" Hitchcock should of read the story "The little engine that could" to his players a few more times before deciding to show up for game 4.

I am still calling for the head of the fan who assaulted one of our fans.

Oh, did I mention Thursday morning a CBJ Fan from Columbus called into 101.1 and said that the Jackets would come back, beat the Wings, and play Boston in the next round?

It was quickly pointed out that Boston was in the East and they hung up on his ass while laughing.

ok, lets say... No penalty... and we score anyways, or lets say we score in overtime.... or lets say we lose game four and win game five 8 - 1...

lol. This was the best way to help CBJ to stop wasting time.

FREE BROOMS TO ALL CBJ FROM ME, you can clean up the mess you left on your home ice, idiots.

SWEEP

the fact that we're Red Wings fans does not mean that we're actually better or using frequent used word - classy - than others.

Hockey is just a game. A GAME. Nothing more. Therefore it is pretty ridiculous to claim, and this is pretty typical in this forum: "we know this game, they do not, they are *******". pretty narrow minded, don't ya think?

Well clearly the Columbus Blue Jackets entire Team and Fans do not know what a "too many men" penalty is because they were going ape s*** and still complained about it. It was as CLEAR AS DAY. None of them had Steve Wonder Glasses on with seeing eye dogs.

But it is OK that they do not know the rules since it was their 1st playoff series in the 8 year history of the franchise. They never played hockey before. Hell, they did not know what ice was. Hitchcock was proud of his team because they knew how to put their equipment on properly.

Let me refresh your memory, right around the 3:50 minute mark

Anyone remember this from a few years back? "Tell Lindi to f*** Off"
