Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 12 OTs please. I'd prefer they still be playing when I have to go back to work Monday. And by that, I mean, still be playing THIS GAME.

C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 Are you kidding me? I'd much rather play the Canucks at this point. I still believe if the Wings bring their A-game they can beat any of these teams in 7. Flames/Hawks are pretenders. Canucks have a good goalie - but one that hasn't gone far in the POs. Their depth cannot match ours - I'd take them over a PO experienced, Cup winning Ducks team anyday. Ducks do have a goalie that's done something in the playoffs...except he's on the bench. I'm taking Luongo before Hiller. Actually, I do think there are arguments either way, and the Ducks' play in this series has sort of made me hesitate on my opinion lately, but I just don't fear anything they bring except their top line, and we ALWAYS win a best-on-best matchup. Vancouver has way more forward depth, Anaheim's way better on the blueline. Vancouver's a tougher place to play, Anaheim has experience. Both teams have discarded Todd Bertuzzi at some point, so that's a plus for both. Just depends on the POV which one you'd rather play. Agree, not worried at all about the Flames and Hawks. I'd be more than happy to see one of them in the WCF.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 It's like the Sharks don't care anymore. Or forgot how to play hockey. The Ducks owned them the last couple of minutes. Oh, they care at this point alright. It's the weight of expectations that's making them freeze up. They're lucky to get to OT.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 That would be the most epic thing ever. I'm pretty sure they'd have to include a new casualties stat
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 If the Sharks continue to play the way they did in the 3rd, then OT won't last very long. I want an epic 9 OT win by the Sharks.
Nightfall 871 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 Really? they are the team i would fear the least. I might be haughty, but the Wings would smoke the Hawks in a PO series like good weed. Basically we smoked them 4 games in the reg season, then took the final 2 off (plus the bogus penalty shot call). Q's record vs the Wings is abysmal. He had lost 12 game in a row to us before those gifts. ANyhow, I doubt we meet them this season, but I wouldn't fear them in the least... Any team that makes the playoffs should be feared. I think there are a lot of teams out there that underestimate lower seeded teams. At this stage, even the 8 seed can give you a run every darn game.

Id perfer 10 OTs with the Ducks winning, but only because the 2 teams have beaten so much of the crap out of eachother its just Hiller and Nabby and they goto the middle of the ice to have a stick fight for who wins. Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 26, 2009 I think it would be a lot of fun to see the Hawks in the WCF. It would be great to see that rivalry really renewed. As for the next round? Luongo is a lot more rested at this point of the year than he's been in the past, which makes him scary. And the Canucks have good depth up front. The Duckies have a goalie playing great, a great back end, and have a great first line + Selanne. Neither's a cakewalk. But let's be honest--if the Wings can't beat either of those teams, they're not going far anyway.
