I will say this: Hiller looked totally average to me. The commentators were trying to do an awful good job of praising Hiller, but the 'good saves' they showed of him, he was juggling the puck, didn't know where it was, etc. That's not a sign of a hot goalie. At any rate, I'm sure that has to do with the traffic in front.

All arrogant douchebaggery aside (i.e. my previous posts), it was obvious the Wings were playing the Ducks game for the second half of the game, and goddamn am I ever happy to have Lids as a Red Wing (bought the premiere winter classic jersey with his name for a reason) -- that was just brilliant clutch goal scoring and only a decent player would have had the fortitude not only to pinch when he did but to go after that rebound. I'm sure everyone knew the Wings had to crash the net or force it to the middle. They capitalized on the Ducks mistake there and that's all it takes.

Great win. Just awesome.

It was fun watching Ericsson knock the little ***** Perry around. Hoping for a better game 2 as the Wings were looking a bit sloppy in their own zone and had a difficult time setting up on the PP. Definitely a bit of lag with all of those days off.

I believe he said it was legal and that Brown hit with his shoulder or something and then went on to complain about Homer and running Hiller.

Babs' press conference was kind of hilarious though. I love how calm and collected he is.
