Man Behind #91 1 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Filpulla got a lot of bashing during the regular season, but he has amazed me in the playoffs so far. He seems to be much stronger on the puck and doesnt fall when someone comes close to him. Also he seems to also throw his weight around just like hossa, datsyuk, and zetts. This man certianly does know how to step it up in the playoffs. I was bored and looked at last years playoffs and he rocked. I hope we dont trade him and just give hudler away if anything. Props to you Fil, keep it up!

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 #51 is the man when it comes to playoffs. And remember boys and girls, it's Filppula, not Filpulla.
Guest Four Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He has stepped up for over two months now. I made a thread a while ago talking about his increased play
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 I don't know, he has yet to score a goal. I am not amazed, that's for sure. Cleary on the other hand really stepped it up.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Agreed........ but #93 Impresses me wayyyyyyyyyy more in the playoffs
GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He's been decent in the playoffs and better than in the regular season. With that said, the title of this thread is a huge exaggeration. He's been far from amazing and like someone said earlier, he hasn't even scored a goal yet. For his salary he hasn't been amazig at all.
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He has been skating like a madman, brings excellent & flawless two-way play and he has the same amount of points than Dats. Good one, haters!
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He has been a very effective player.. Much like Helm
NGKEIB 32 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 In game 1 of the Columbus series, his line was huge. Secondary scoring (or rather tertiary scoring, as they're the 3rd line) would go a very long way this series, if our 1st and 2nd lines are going to be splitting time covering Getzlaf & co. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 He has stepped up for over two months now. I made a thread a while ago talking about his increased play This. The last 10 or 15 games of the season he was playing like a man on a mission, and he's continuing that. He's incredibly solid out there, and the third line wouldn't look nearly as good with out him. In the ducks game he was pulling some sick dekes all over the ice. Where is the fool who said his hands were only slightly better than drapers?
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted May 2, 2009 (edited) Cleary on the other hand really stepped it up. Cleary plays with Z and Franzen. Put Flip with those two, and see that line kick ass. Edited May 2, 2009 by Z and D for the C
