WCSF GAME 3 GDT: Red Wings 1 at Ducks 2

Anaheim skates for 15 mins, a period. Detroit skates for 5 mins. It's amazing that this series is so close.

Imagine if we could skate with them for 11 mins a period!?

It's pathetic that it takes 30 minutes to pass in each game before the Red Wings really start to work. 17-6 advantage in shots in that period, but at least 3/5ths of those shots were fluff. Still an improvement over an abysmal first and they finished strong late in the period.

Must build on that early in the third. Sustain some momentum.

I think some of you will get your wish with ZDH, at least in spot duty, in the third. Babcock was obviously mixing up the lines late.

That elbow didn't look that serious upon second look. The scary thing was the shot to the ribs, but he was definitely bleeding from the mouth?? maybe injuries from both the shot and the elbow? Either way hope he is ok.

Exactly, I've been listening and glancing at the game on Versus and saw him, what appeared to be, elbowed. I hope it has nothing to do what his ribs, that's very, very, painful.

If its not Chelis fault then whos is it?

What a stupid comment.

Lebda's the simple play would have been to get it deep into the corner instead of getting the shot blocked. bone head mistake by lebs hes been awful all night so far.

Some great shifts there in the second half of the period. Z is on fire, Datsyuk is working his butt off. Ozzie is solid. Also can't grasp how cool Ericsson's play is considering the circumstances.

He definitely looked like he was grabbing his chest in pain when going out on the stretcher. I'm not counting out that the elbow hurt him in the mouth, but if it was only that he should have been able to walk off. Didn't look like a fun injury at all, hate to see stuff like that.

If Downey was in the lineup, he would have had a natural hat trick in the 1st, broken up Selanne's break away, killed Pronger in hand-to-hand combat, and banged both of the Neidermeyer's wives. Of course, we' still be down 1.

HAHAHA GREAT!

Bright red blood usually is coming from an artery because it's saturated with oxygen. Dark red blood is not, and therefore is coming from a vein.

Other way around.

You can learn this in the woods while deer hunting.

Its real dark cuz it coagulates really quickly.

Edited by NHLrules?

The blood is a different color not necessarily because of WHERE it comes from, but rather how much oxygen it's carrying. That being said, I hope that Wiz is ok, but out for the series.

Better period, but not great by any stretch. I'm hoping this lights a fire under the Wings' butts and gets our superstars producing. Right now, they aren't real visible.

imagine if that were one of OUR players? How would you feel if the Ducks fans were saying that?

To be fair, I'm sure the Ducks are thrilled that Rafalski is injured.

You are right though, I even felt bad for Avery when he had some kind of serious health problem last playoffs.
