55fan 5,133 Report post Posted September 14, 2011 Drive. I just love a good long trip. Half the fun is in the planning. Sitting down with the atlas, figuring the route, adding up the miles, writing down the directions, estimating the time of arrival. When we'd go on vacation, my dad had a whole chart typed up. We were never more than 5 minutes off at the end. My uncle was convinced that we sat at the end of the driveway and waited until the exact minute to pull in. Good times. Maps or GPS? puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted September 15, 2011 Talk to inanimate objects (like gps or computer) or Just get angry when it doesn't do what you want. Oh, you made me think of my mom just now. She used to say, "Inaminate objects are defying me today!" She died in 1980... before the advent of all this techno-gizmo crap. I talk to appliances and certainly to my car. I tell the A/C, washer-dryer, and hot water heater to keep going, 'cause I can't afford new ones. I am fluent in ancient Honda, as well. trampoline or pogo stick?
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted September 15, 2011 Trampoline. Never got the hang of a pogo stick and I'd probably hit myself in the no-nos quite often with a pogo stick. Oddly enough, I've hit myself in the no-nos jumping on a trampoline and landing in-between some springs one time. Not on purpose. Was pretty fricken hilarious. WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted September 15, 2011 I'm going to be finding out soon just how much braces cost for 2 kids I may have to make that decision, whether or not they are dentally necessary. If it were me it would only be necessary not for cosmetic reasons.
