esteef 2,679 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Having a fighter or two is ok, but if that's all they can do then they are a waste of a roster spot.

ducks4cup 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 You won't see any Wings player target a finesse player from your team, fresh off an injury, and drag him around the ice punching him in the head without even giving him a chance to get his balance to square off properly. I'm sorry, but Corey Perry is an embarrassment to your team. Getz and Niedermayer doing what they did... no problem. They sent a message and the Wings need to respond, that's the playoffs. But Corey Perry, targeting the weakest player on the ice... who just happened to come back from injury that game, in an attempt to look tough in front of his home crown is pathetic. Kind of like Homer targeted Wiz and gave him a cheap elbow while he was injured. But oooo wait everyone on this board thinks it was "accidental", while everyone on everyother hockey board (ducks or non ducks) thinks it was intentional. Broken 16 381 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 If I were a giant, I would step on Pronger & feel no remorse. If Perry were a dandelion, I'd rub his head all over your arm to see if you like butter then pop his head off.
Wingsallwin 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 The same thing happened 2 years ago too; this s***ty Niedermayer and Pronger hammered Holmstrom on the board. People forgot it that it was all Pronger's fault but by all means, it was both's fault and I never liked this Nidermayer guy. He is a good player but he has a ******* moron sportsmanship. Very good couple with Buttman
LeftCoastHockey 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 This Has to Be the Saddest Thread I have Ever Seen Serious WINGS Fans How can you call the BIg Bad Ducks a bunch of Goons when your most Famous Player Gordie Howe was famous for his Own Hat Trick (THe Gordie How Hat-Trick-A GOal, A Assist and a Fight) Really quit Bitching and Man up for Game 7 its going to be a Battle!! ducks4cup 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 It's tied at 3-3 and the Wings have outscored them 18-14 and only one teams goalie has been chased from his net. Wow when will you wings fans understand. The ducks are not a scoring team. We don't win games by scoring 4-6 goals a game like the wings do. We win games by shutting other teams down. AKA game 6. It wasn't that the wings played bad it's that the ducks played their game. It's simple when the wings can play their game they win, when the ducks can play ours we win. But oooo wait everyone on this board thinks it was "accidental", while everyone on everyother hockey board (ducks or non ducks) thinks it was intentional. There's a big gap between incidental contact during play and singling out the weakest player on the ice, fresh off an injury, after the game is over in an attempt to look tough. He's a weasel and a coward. This has been demonstrated many, many times. Homer doesn't have a reputation for dirty elbows. Perry is well know for taking swipes at players while standing behind the refs. May as well embrace the fact.

Broken 16 381 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 (edited) Exactly my point. You a "wings fan" call the contact incidental, most people "not wings fans" think it was intentional. Most people? Fine. ALL PEOPLE know that what Perry did was cowardly and weak. Except Mighty Duck fans. Brian Rafalski has averaged 16 penalty minutes a year throughout his entire career. WATCH RAFALSKI!!! How coincidental that Perry chose him to start swinging on. Lol... what a toad. That's downright embarrassing. Edited May 13, 2009 by Broken
hail2ducks 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Enjoy youre alternative egocentric belief system...didn't jesus say the meek shall inherit the earth...so theres another....;-) are you really bringing baby jesus into this lmao, the last i heard is that hockey wasnt around at that time for that to apply to a man made game. That is what makes it so funny, the ducks win games by shutting other teams down yet they have allowed 18 goals in 6 games. That averages to 3 goals a game. Man those are some amazing shut down skills. You do know what shutting down would mean don't you it would mean not letting the other team score 3 goals a game. By the way since in the 6 games the Wings have only allowed 14 goals they would be shutting down the ducks more than the ducks are shutting them down. Frozen-Man 144 Report post Posted May 13, 2009 Gordie Howe had one "Gordie Howe Hat Trick". Did you just start watching hockey? Gordie Howe Hat Trick I thought it was only one too but the other day a friend sent me this article saying he had two. Either way not very many. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/blogs/2008/10/the...gordie_how.html

Owned is overstating, wouldn't you say? Squeaked by again is infinitely more accurate.
