The phantom interference major killed his chances.

Yup. He called his way right out of the finals. Thank goodness. They have a very difficult job and it can never be perfect but having him out sure makes me feel better.

You've GOT to be kidding me. That is truly great news.

Maybe we'll see the after-the-whistle crap gone for the series.

Thanks for posting this Datsyerberger. Coming on the heels of the Lidstom info makes my day.

Considering he practically cost us a game last finals, I owe many thanks to any and all deities responsible for this gracious boon.

Kept: Paul Devorski, Marc Joannette, Dennis Larue, Bill McCreary

Dropped: Pollock, O'Halloran, Furlatt, Jackson

Phew, thank God O'Halloran is out!

Awe. I feel bad. I bet Danny boy was practicing the waive off signal with his arms all week. After hearing this news, he must be depressed.

best news I've heard all day, but knowing how the NHL is run these days, much like the Red Wings without Lidstrom and Datsyuk, who'll be the one who steps up for Gary and Sid in the finals :P

I looked up every Wings game this year in the playoffs, and when at least 1 of these refs called the Wings games, the Wings record is 9-1! (only loss was OT loss to Anaheim) It looks like all the games were called pretty evenly.

EDIT: I also did it for the Pens as well. They were 7-3. Pretty good, but still worse.
