All the Pressure is on the Wings for Game 7

franzen and hossa need to be split up, they were both terrible tonight. first scrum of the game, franzen needs to jack cindy's mouthguard and throw it in the octopus pail and then bury one of the faceoff.

the wings need to come fast and furious and not take their foot off the gas. blow the pens out and keep what's theirs.

Imo the 1st period will decide Game 7. If the Wings can't get started on time in what could be the biggest game they'll ever play, they're not going to win it.

I'm calling it right now, whoever scores first on Friday wins the cup.

I agree. When the Red Wings score first the Stanley Cup-winning goal will have been scored.

with exception to the last 7 minutes of play, the wings played like s***. That goal by kennedy was weak. I just don't know what it is with the wings on the road. It is frustrating as s***. Hossa is not worth the pay for next season, even if he takes less. I am speechless really, pretty rattled about this all, considering this series should have ended a while ago. All the wings needed to do was win 1 on the road and this thing should have been ooooooooooooooover.

Not too sure about game 7. They need to come out firing.

We haven't had a good start yet in this series.

Osgood is left out to dry at the beginning of every game. Also, the Pens get PP's at the beginning of every game and will likely have the same for game 7.

Our starts have been terrible since the Columbus series.

If the Wings win, I'll quit smoking. If they lose, I'll be smoking a pack a day until the day I die. My life is in Detroits hands.

If they lose I'll take up smoking and then move on to whatever drugs I can get my hands on.

We seem to be on our game so much more at home... Im not worried really. Any game we have lost all playoffs have been nailbiters... Yet we have won so many with dominating fashion. If we can keep it simple and get our cycle going... The cup is ours...

If your'e not in the least bit nervous about a game 7 of the SCF, then you're a truly unusual person.

It all depends on which Wings team shows up on Friday, they have been plagued by inconsistency throughout the playoffs, and tonight's play after the clinic they put on Saturday is a fine example.

I'm just stating the obvious when I say this, everything is off in game 7's. They can play their hearts out and fall victim to a bad call, a bad bounce or anything else out of their control.

They backed themselves into this corner and hopefully they have enough left to survive, more than 10 minutes of effort in that game will be a good start.

My theory going into game 6 tonight is they have 2 chances to win one game, and if they can't do it, than they don't deserve it.

They have a lot of pissed off and anxious fans to prove wrong, lets hope they can muster up one more good performance.

I'm amazed at how optimistic people are still...

If I keep telling myself I'm optimistic I will be optimistic at some point.

I don't know how I'm going to make it until Friday. Last night I had dreams about tonight's game and kept waking up. Sometimes we were winning and sometimes we were losing. It made for bad night of sleep.

The thought of Cindy Crosby possibly skating the Cup at the JLA, with Bettman handing him the Cup is going to haunt me for the next couple of nights.

I'd rather die than see that happen.

I think we'll win the game, but all the pressure is clearly on us. We were up 2-0, and we blew the series lead. I hope our players, especially the younger ones can handle this pressure, because most people won't expect the Pens to win game 7 on the road.

Also, this would be the worst loss in Wings history if we can't pull this off. Worse than 1942, and worse than anything in my lifetime.

It's going to rank up there as one of our worst losses, but at least it didn't occur in the first round like when San Jose beat us in '94 or when Anaheim swept us.

If Detroit is going to be favored on Friday, I'd suggest getting all your savings together and betting on Pittsburgh to win. There's no way the NHL will let the Penguins lose if this one's close, and clearly the Wings don't have the heart to blow those punk kids out.

Count me among the skeptics. The Wings needed to finish this tonight. Not Friday!! I discussed this for 2 days: you simply do not want a winner take all with one side having Sissy Crosby - the NHL's poster boy looking at his first ring. Bettman wants it. The NHL feels it's best for the game. And the refs have been pathetic. Not exactly what I wanna see Friday.

Imagine .. 1-1. 3rd period. Game 7. A minute to go. And there goes the whistle yet again for a call as "good" as the goalie interference call tonight on Hank. Unrealistic?? It could very well happen.

It's all on us now that we f***ed up a there-for-the-taking game tonight. Man I'm pissed.

I think the pressure is actually on Pissburgh. They know they can't win in Detroit. They haven't thus far. Its obviously a homer series. The Wings would have to totally collapse and not show up.

Oh....wait....

You mean.....

....kinda like they did....

TONIGHT?

Of course.....

If you're not careful, some here will think you're a Conspiracy Theorist.

Funny thing is, though.....

Some Wings Players have expressed the exact same points of view.

How....

Odd.

its up to the refs and the calls/no calls.... that will ultimately decide our fate.

We need the wings of game 5 to come out and put the game to rest before it even gets 5mins in

like with lidstrom a few games ago (or last one lol) ozzie played the puck behind and Rafalski get nailed by cooke no call and no touching of the puck at all.

game7 is a refs game. if there wasn't zebras out there i would be 100% sure the wings could pull it out.
