Weaksauce 5 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I feel as though I shouldn't watch it. Had to follow games 1 & 2 on gamecast because of studying. Watched games 3 and 4 on an internet feed. Missed game 5 completely because I had a round of golf. Watched game 6 on an internet feed again. I feel I have a duty to keep the tv off, at least until there is a comfortable lead. R.Rabbit 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 i took his/her comments in a sarcastic light... am i wrong in doing so? Yup I was being sarcastic and for those of you that don't wanna see Crosby lift The Cup (myself included) turn it off before they bring it out
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 My heart rate at the end of the game 7 with Anaheim was going 1000 miles per second... If there is not a comfortable lead with 10 or so minutes left, I may not live. That right there is my problem as well. My heart rate sky rockets during games and now that it's Game 7..oh god. If we are up by a goal or down at all I may just have to walk out for fresh air or something.
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 That right there is my problem as well. My heart rate sky rockets during games and now that it's Game 7..oh god. If we are up by a goal or down at all I may just have to walk out for fresh air or something. I find myself holding my breath a lot during these games - I literally forget to breathe until suddenly I realize, "gee, I'm getting a little lightheaded here." If I remember to breathe I'll be okay...nervous as hell and sitting on the edge of my seat all night, but okay.
Wingsequallife13 8 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I will be watching it, but I will definitely have consumed a good amount of alcohol before the game starts to calm the nerves a bit. If somehow the pens win tomorrow as soon as the game ends the tv will be off. Come on wings! I want to run a lap around my parking lot screaming at the top of my lungs like I did after game 7 of the ducks series.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) I'm watching, but I might need a Newcastle or Sierra Nevada. Edit: lol @ above post. :beerbuddy: Edited June 11, 2009 by Shoreline
HanKarin40 7 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I definitely will be watching! I'll probably be sick to my stomach and shaking like crazy, but there is nothing that could stop me from watching! You can bet I'll be on the edge of my seat and probably on the floor a couple of times. Franzen put me there last night when he was trying to jam it in. I also have a serious problem with cursing during games. My husband calls me sailor mouth. Thank god it's still cool enough outside that the windows can stay shut. I would hate the scar the children in the neighborhood!
pirateasaurus 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 If you really think about it, it's pretty incredible how emotionally invested people can be in something they can't control featuring people they probably have never met. But my life will be ruined if we don't do this.

But my life will be ruined if we don't do this. You know, sometimes I think my life would be easier if I didn't care so much. But that's what makes life worth living - to have such passion about things! I live and die with this team, and I love every exasperating, joyous, crushing, exuberant, disappointing, wonderful, fabulous, frustrating and awesome moment of it!! Offsides 21 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I'll definitely be watching because I wouldn't miss it for the world, BUT I am seriously going to be so anxious, nervous, and have heart palpitations galore during the game. If it went to OT..I don't know what I'd do. Probably close my eyes the entire time because that is how frightened I would be! Ha ha, I am lucky (I guess) I am working. But I need someone to give me updates. My phone fell in water, and so I only have my mom's phone right now so I don't really have anyway to get updates. I need game updates, and then to know when Ozzie gets the Conn Smythe. I'm very bummed I can't watch, but I might catch the end...
Wings_Rule_1010 4 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I wouldn't miss it for anything. I may suffer a heart attack watching it, but I will be watching the game. I just can't imagine my nerves on Friday. I was super nervous for the ducks/wings game 7 and this is 1000x more scary.

Happy Pancake 6 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I'll be drinking with the help of my friend Miller High Life. I won't watch the presentation if the Pens win though, I'll be too angry to watch.
catbox_9 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Better question: IF the Pens win, will you watch the ceremony or turn the TV off? Won't happen tomorrow but in non-OT games that the Wings lose, I turn the TV off with about 2 seconds to go in the game or so. When we lose in OT the TV goes off within seconds. If the Wings were to somehow lose tomorrow (yeah right!) I would not even think about watching the ceremony.
wingsgirl001 983 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Ooooh no, I'm watching. I'll be scared to death, but I'll be watching. I will NOT, however, watch a Non-Wings Ceremony. I refuse. Nooo ******* way. Edited June 11, 2009 by wingsgirl001

talex 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) I'll most certainly be watching, however like game 3 if the refs start calling garbage against the Wings or letting the Pens get away with lots of crap, I will shut it off, I just get to pissed off. When the Wings win I will watch the presentation. Edited June 11, 2009 by talex

HomeNugget 2 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I nearly quit watching yesterday... if the refs let the Pens interfere as much as game 6... I might have a heart attack. I'll quit watching then. That combined with the Pens "Let's make a tight circle around our own net" defense... Really makes for a frustrating hockey game. So much so... Yeah, I might not watch part of it. Michel Therrien? Is that you? We lost last night because we didn't play our game until the third period. And to answer the OP's question, there is no way in hell I will miss game 7. These are the moments you live for as a fan.
Mike 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 I will be watching and I will be about 1,000,000 times more nervous than I was when watching Game #7 against the Ducks.
IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted June 11, 2009 If anyone on here is thinking of not watching or going to the game, I am sorry, I have to politely ask you to terminate your account. Then I recommend joining the Starbrite forums, they go hard.
