I think Hossa stays next year. I think he played like s*** because he was injured. If not, then he just sucked it up. I think he comes back next year. I am looking forward to the draft. The Wings do an amazing job of finding hidden talent in the draft.

I really hope to see Abby in the full-time line up next year. I think he would be a great addition to the team!

I hope you're wrong. f*** scoring 40 goals during the regular season (and many of them CLUTCH goals) and not showing up in the playoffs except for game 4s for 3 rounds.

I'll gladly take more Helms, Abdelkaders and Cleary's to our invisible Hudler's, Samuelsson's and $7.65-million Hossa's.

Thank you for embarrassing us, Marian... I guess you didn't want to win that badly...

We had nothing going almost the entire game. Passes weren't connecting, missed the net a million times, Pitt blocked a lot of shots, many players didn't show up.

I would say Pitt was hungrier for most of the series and that's the hardest thing to match.

Not sure if anyone else pointed this out in 75+ pages, but Stuart effed up bad tonight and looked like poop...

But yea... Turnovers, not getting rebounds, or connecting on passes are what killed us... Was definitely not goaltending like many thought would be...

Devastated obviously. But obviously the best team on the day won and thats just the way it is. Stuart...well i don't think anything more can be said.

The worst part about all this is its the off season now. No more hockey for ageeesss.

Well, at least I'll still be able to say that no one has won the Cup without having an enforcer in their lineup for a significant part of the regular season.

Amen. I still say Maxine doesn't score two goals tonight if the Wings had someone who had beaten the s*** out of him after his cheap slash on Dats's foot in Game 5. Heck, even though he wasn't an "enforcer," I would have loved to have had a Dallas Drake skating for the Wings this series.

I know most of you hate Hossa, but I'm telling you, I think he comes back next year. I think he takes a pay cut and stays for at least 2 years.

Babcock isn't going anywhere!!! All you assholes that are saying he is can leave.

Turnovers........turnovers..........turnovers.......cost the wings this game, and basically were the downfall the whole series. That statistic, along with the horrible penalty kill all season, were about as un-Redwing-like as anything I've seen in years. Maybe there is something to that "it's harder to repeat" theory that I originally thought. Just a few random thoughts while I drown my sorrows in another grey goose and cranberry juice. And, I can't wait to hear the true injury report in the next few days..........I have a feeling it will be much more extrensive than anyone imagined.

Good for you... I cheaped out, and instead of getting my Gosling's Black Seal Bermuda Rum (sipping over ice), I got an $8 bottle of Barton Gold with some sugar-free cherry-flavored Kool-Aid. I deserve to suffer as the Wings deserve to suffer. Seriously. I hope I am in as much agony as Jiri Hudler is tomorrow morning...

Who was the penguin's enforcer?

Crosby? :D

Godard.

He played most of the regular season just like Downey did for us last year. The pattern continues.

Next year, some of these soft euros who didn't produce (hudler, sammy, krapacky) should be sent to the Wild in exchange for Boogaard.

lmao.....some people are gonna ride Hossa's ass till the bitter end. I guess since all the bad things that happened during the playoffs were his fault, I guess I finally have to concede that the Wing's would have definitely won the cup if they had never signed him. Damn, how could I have been so stupid. Thank you guys for the enlightenment.

Well. my first post of the evening, I was watching the game with my Wife and Brother. I really don;t know how I feel at the moment. Bitter towards the Wings, NO. Disappointed, heartbreaking, etc.....YES.

The Wings breaking point happened tonight. The Pens were hungry for it, It showed the entire game with the exception of the 1st period when the Wings were skating like crazy. but it just was not enough. I can honestly say that the era if the Wings core is over. It truly is time to shake this team up. Who stays? Who goes?. only time will tell.

I am not going to flip the bird to Hossa, bashing him completely because of his lack luster performance in this finals. I believe in my heart he is a great fit for this team. I support him being here. I will leave it at that.

now as far as players like Lebda, Sammy, Homer, Malts Drapes.... It time to move on and bring in our young players like Abby (Which I cannnot believe he was not playing.)

Ozzie I feel for him, He is the TRUE MVP of this playoffs. He did his job but the team let him down.

Helm, what else can I say, this kid is the future of this team.

I am just rattling on because emotions are all mixed at the moment. It Stings and it Sucks royal donkey balls.

I Will always love our Red Wings! I support the organization and kenny H. the Mr I.

Thank you Red Wings for providing us with a chance to win the cup. 2009/2010 will be here before we know it. and we all will be there to cheer our Wings.

:octo:

I said it earlier.

I hope he stays as long as he makes no more than one million dollars.

If we're paying based on Finals performance, he should get .50 cents, because Draper scored more goals in the Finals than he did, and we acquired Draper for only $1.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but WTF happened to our PP in the last 2 games. Big chances at important times in the game, and they can't do anything but shoot the puck wide.

Hopefully the PK and the PP will be fixed next season.

Really though, if you think about it, except for game 5 the Wings PP was pretty much non-existent all series long.

Hopefully not with Hossa, or else we'll lose again.

To be honest it would be cool if we signed Hossa and won the cup next year.

I wonder if he just put way too much pressure on himself to win the cup this year?

Regardless of Hossa's performance during the playoffs, there are some interesting scenarios during the off-season for the Wings that don't involve him.

Given all of the turnovers and sloppy defensive play and breakdowns that plagued the Wings at key points, how about letting Hossa walk and signing Bouwmeester to shore up the blueline?

I don't want to talk too much about winning the Cup next year right now.

A few hours ago, we had 15 wins and were one win away from the damn Cup. It's not easy to get back to that point, and even if we do get back, I've lost some faith in this team's ability to finish the deal.

f*** Hossa.

And I cannot believe we're even entertaining the thought of keeping him.

If it's for Lebda money, sure... otherwise, f*** it. Get me some more Helmers.

Yeah, their sights were way off in the last two. I've got no idea what happened, but at one point in Game 6 they had twice as many shots go high and wide as they did actually on goal. The Pens were just all over and in front of everything.
