ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 3.5mil for 3 years? That's pretty good. Then again, he belongs in Philly with the rest of those goons.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Not bad for 1.1, but still too rich for the Wings blood.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Oh my God... You'd think it wasn't possible to hate the Flyers even more but now they have Pronger and now one of the few guys that has directly injured Nick Lidstrom?
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 That's pretty good deal imho. I hope Flyers will finally get past Penguins now.

Snazzy 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 We should be happy with this, Penguins should be pissed. Pengs are getting softer as their rivals are getting tougher.

True, but my comment was intended for whenever they play against the Wings. If I were Dan Bylsma I don't know how I would overcome the temptation to send out a player to lunge straight for Pronger's ACL.
TheOwl 77 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) Not bad for 1.1, but still too rich for the Wings blood. Who are the Wings gonna get for less then 1.1 million? Wings were going to offer Hossa around 4 million, they should offer the same deal to someone else and move the appropriate players. Do something Mr. Holland! Sign anyone! Flyers are looking real strong for next season, they should be one of the favorites in the east. Edited July 1, 2009 by TheOwl
Thunderpriest 8 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I give up. So much for any hope of getting a proper 4th line. I think Maltby, Draper & Abdelkader would be quite a nice 4th line........

skacore 2 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 We should be happy with this, Penguins should be pissed. Pengs are getting softer as their rivals are getting tougher. yeah Pens just grabbed another heavyweight in Mike Rupp, more than capable of playing a regular spot on any 4th line
scotzman 29 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 This proves to me what we all know... Kenny has no interest in these players. We could have easily signed him for that or less. Maybe not the same years... who knows. Anyway, Kenny is happy with skill over grit. Don't start telling me how gritty are team is either. The Ducks series showed how badly we needed a little more toughness out there. Chris Neil would be a great fit, but it ain't gonna' happen. Hope I'm wrong. I'll be cursing at the TV quite a bit that night, but I'll still like them afterwards. As far as Pittsburgh, Malkin and Crosby are going to learn how to cry, and in the playoffs, how to lose. Thunderpriest 8 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Holland boring... you better make the wings win the cup now... with this passive/inactive july 1st I'm quite certain that Kenny would rather compete for the Cup next June than make you happy with a *splash* today. Free agency is only a few hours old and you're already complaining? LOL!!!
uk_redwing 495 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 You would think Holland would have a better idea then you tho? Yeh because his 4th line last year wasnt the worst in the league or anything...and it wasnt the contribution from the Pens 4th line that in the end won them the cup was it?
