Doc Holiday 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 I don't give up - just being realistic detroit can go 0-82 (well almost hehe) and i would still support them as a fan... even though you're a fan of a team you can still critizise them and being realistic of the situation, there is a good possibility that this team will suck for a few years now and it wont be like anything you seen since the 80's red wings Mindfly and realistic? Sorry, you must be mistaking yourself with a level-headed fan.
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 Well signing washed up underperforming players is ther MO, so makes sense.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 ... Just pretend that Zetterberg's and Franzén's contracts weren't signed until yesterday. And who needs Kotalik? The Rangers probably overpaid like wild. I'm more interested in a solid checking defensive forward. Our top 6 is taken care of. Three years, $1 million per year. Pretty good bargain. Feldmarschall 9 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 That IS a damn fine deal for a 40ish point guy like him, looking at what Sammy got.

StevieY9802 6 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 Also...if the Rangers are signing a guy I think that should be a red flag to stay the F away.

Feldmarschall 9 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 Also...if the Rangers are signing a guy I think that should be a red flag to stay the F away. It's only a red flag if they're paying at or above market value, in which case the player immediately flops. I think they just got a smart deal here, so it'll probably work. Slabby 3 Report post Posted July 9, 2009 The Wings don't need anybody named Alice anyway. We need to get more gritty. Can't we sign someone named Earl or something?
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Three years, $1 million per year. Pretty good bargain. Yeah, 30-40 pts for 1 mill is pretty bargain basement. Good signing then. Being that it's the Rangers I was sure they signed him for 5 years a 3 million per.
