Moen wasn't the only "gritty" forward remaining in free agency.

I do think Moen would have been a nice fit here, but the Red Wings still have options.

What!? No!!! Omg... what are we going to do now? Why Travis... Whyyyyyyyyy!?

Ok... wait, now... maybe we can get Tanguay to sign for 1.5mil and he'll develop a mean streak?

nice signing for Habs, must needed secondary toughness... hopefully we're able to land someone with some balls

It's been proven that Nick Lidstrom has balls... and even against Patrick Sharp's best efforts, he got to keep both.

Oh well, I thought he might sign somewhere for 3-5 years, we all know Holland like the one year UFA deals (Rafalski being the rare deal.) Besides Holland has some prtty important RFA"s to lock up next off season, Abby, Helm, Ryno, Kolosov, Tardif to name a few...

I wonder if Holland made an offer to him for one season? We'll never know!

I still maintain the "One and Done" UFA holland will sign is Mike Peca.

Moen gone

Veilleux gone

Gratton was next on my list...

Pick up the phone please..... Mr. Holland... and make the call....

Chris Gratton: 1.25 M

Scouting Report

Assets

Has a great combination of size and two-way savvy. Displays decent hands and a mean streak. Is solid on face-offs and sound defensively.

Flaws

Has questionable hockey sense, which limits him in the scoring department. Isn't as complete a player as his package suggests.

Career potential

Checking line forward.

Huds has kinda handcuffed us here because if the league does if fact side with detroit and negate the KHL offer (since Hudler was a RFA) he is on the roster...but we wont know that until the greivance is dealt with)

Hudler has lost a bit of my respect with this BS move- going to arbitration and signing with Dynamo. Damn you, you little midget
