b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted September 23, 2009 Good guy, good goaltender. Really don't know why he couldn't find a starting spot, I think he could still play (Wings backup?). I think the guy got a raw deal in the end.

Superman54 91 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Was one of my favorite goalies growing up. Wish he could have hoisted the cup but still had an amazing career nonetheless.
Hiei 192 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Good guy, good goaltender. Really don't know why he couldn't find a starting spot, I think he could still play (Wings backup?). I think the guy got a raw deal in the end. It's a situation like Hasek's. Hasek carried Buffalo for all those years with great goaltending, but could never win there. Went to detroit and the rest, as they say, is history. Godzilla carried Washington (even though they had some periodical stars like Oates, Juneau, and Tikkanen) Then he got dealt to Post-Lockout Tampa, where he was gonna lose out to Mike Smith anyway. I think he'd make a capable backup for someone like detroit.

P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 It's a shame he couldn't finish his career with the Caps. I think there were times last season when he could've won the number 1 job back from Theodore.
