Yeah, I think any and all of Lilja's detractors (myself included) are now officially on the Lilja bandwagon since he was so ridiculously solid for the Wings. I missed the game tonight, but it sounds like our defense is still half-assing everything? In which case, Meech playing is only going to cause more problems. Zetts 236 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 It would definitely be nice to have a Lilja/Ericsson third pairing. But as far as Meech, it's a good opportunity for him. He really hasn't gotten a whole lot of a chance to show what he can do and to develop in the NHL. A large chunk of the little time he did get was spent as a forward. Usually defensemen take a few full seasons to develop. He's obviously not going to be an All-Star, but it would be nice to see what he's got. Lilja is mad he can't come back yet. He doesn't like being broken. Excuse me while I go dream of a Pain Train/Big Rig third pairing... They both need to get better soon.
