Draper won't be, he provides a lot more than a Maltby (not to bash Maltby as he has been good this season). Eaves may sit. Helm will not sit if he's healthy enough to play, that simple. So looks like it'll be Eaves and Maltby. I want to see what Eaves can do with some regular playing time, but Helm is a lock for a roster spot if he's healthy. I just hope they don't rush him back one bit too early, no need for that.

hooon 1,089 Report post Posted October 12, 2009 Welcome back Helm! I didn't think I would say this but I am happy with the way Draper, Maltby, and Eaves have all been playing. I think the competition will be good for all of them, and good for the team.
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted October 12, 2009 It's so good seeing Pavel and Hank's names next to eachother. Hope this is an indication that Helm returning doesn't mean those 2 top lines are going to be messed with. They looked great against the Caps, but they're gonna need to be even better offensively against Buffalo. Miller has been playing out of his mind. Datsyuk-Zetterberg-Bertuzzi Leino-Filppula-Cleary Helm-Williams-Abdelkader Holmstrom-Draper-May Did you just write their name in the wrong places or do you honestly seriously think Williams of all people should center a line with excellent centers Helm and Abby playing the wings? gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted October 12, 2009 I've said it before and I'll say it again, with more minutes and better offensive players around him, Maltby will rack up more points than people like to think. It'll definitely be interesting to see if he actually gets scoring line minutes.

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 I am not a fan of Flip and Cleary being on the same line, Cleary is brutal at finishing when he is set-up by Filppula. Move J-Will up and Cleary down a line. And good for May for impressing enough to stay in the line-up, any chances he has a different number
TX Wing 26 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi Leino-Filppula-Cleary Holmstrom-Abdelkader-Williams May-Helm-Eaves given the fact that babcock wanted to let helm get his feet wet in grr but they don't have any games till the weekend my bet is he puts helm on fourth for now. i would like to see more of eaves plus it would keep maltby and draper fresher.
