I don't know that he'll get an NHL job at his salary, if he does it'll be someone highly motivated (near desperate), jmo.

He should play, anywhere, with Jagr again. He and Jagr in NY were awesome, and it seems he's went downhill since.

Not a bad player by any stretch of the imagination, but at this point, the price tag on his head is just too bloated for any team to even consider adding him. The old Michael Nylander might have been justify the cost, but he's not the same player that he used to be.

Well, his cap hit is $4.875 million....pro-rate that over about 18% of the season completed, and it's almost exactly $4,000,000 remaining for this season.

Right. I already explained that to him.

If he's on unconditional waivers like Shanahan was, and nobody picks him up, the Caps can just terminate his contract after that. At which point, anyone could just sign him for $500k.

Now that's something I'd def. consider.
