Grand Rapids Griffins (7-4-0-0) @ Lake Erie Monsters (6-7-0-0)
3:00 pm EST

Tonight's Player in focus: Francis Pare

(Absolutely no rhyme or reason behind this!) Pare put up an impressive 24 goals and 48 points in his rookie AHL season, enough to get him a contract with Detroit. His play to start this season however has been underwhelming with zero goals and 3 points in 9 games. He did look good against Chicago though picking up an assist.

The Grand Rapids Griffins finally take to the road as they visit the Lake Erie Monsters. They will face Lake Erie again on the 11th back at home. Last years captain Darren Haydar is the Monsters main man as he leads their team in scoring with 4 goals and 10 points. The Griffins are on a six game winning streak while Lake Erie have dropped their past 2 games. The Griffins will be looking to improve on their 1-4 W/L record away from home.

The Griffins have recorded 6 straight wins, all at home, and will be full of confidence heading into this evening's game. Cory Emmerton has been impressive of late and is on a 3 game point streak (2-2-4). Evan McGrath meanwhile has registered a point in 6 of the past 7 games as he stakes a claim to be called up by Detroit. Kris Newbury is also on a 4 game point streak. McCollum is expected to start tonight.

First night in weeks I won't have to work when Gr is playing so hopefully there will be a stream. With a quick glance at the point totals it would appear that there isn't a single player making a big offensive impact which is disappointing considering the hopes for some due to hype or strong previous seasons.

Did anyone see that stat when the camera was on Ritola that said

"He owns every My Little Pony ever made."

Lol.

Does he really?

Ever since I saw this picture it made me raise an eyebrow about him.

To quote Seinfeld, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

I doubt he does, I bet it was just some of the camera people messing around. It is in Lake Erie's barn.

Yeah I didn't see that. I'm watching FSN Ohio. Although maybe they showed that while I was making lunch.
