lomekian 201 Report post Posted November 14, 2009 I'll be blunt, I have always hated the Wings. Drew Miller may change that. Big Miller fan here, was my screen name not a tip-off? You guys have got a very underrated defensive forward and one hell of a great human being. He was loved by fans in Anaheim for his tenacity, sound decision making and his actions off the ice. Hockey players are certainly a unique breed when it comes to how much they will do for their fans, But I know I wasn't the only Ducks fan who was truly touched by Drew's generosity. I just figured I'd share. Thank you for this, I found that a very moving article, even at 4am in the UK....It was the character, humility and generosity of Steve Yzerman that made me a wings fan, and the more players we have that exhibit those qualities, the more of a pleasure it is supporting the team...also its nice to know that I had a good feeling about him without any knowledge that is now justified...thanks again..... redwingrob 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2009 Woh. So what's the diagnosis on that kid? Is she going to make it? I couldnt find anything definitive on the diagnosis, but after a little googling found that she has a facebook page and looks like she is doing well. Since the incident was in 2007, that seems encouraging...

hokike 1 Report post Posted November 14, 2009 (edited) What are the odds we can keep him and may when everyone is healthy both may and miller have two way contracts IIRC so when there is no room for them in RW, GR welcomes them with open arms. Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted November 14, 2009 What are the odds we can keep him and may when everyone is healthy It may be that we won't get to see everyone healthy this season. But, let's see: Holmstrom-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi Franzen-Zetterberg-Cleary Leino-Filppula-Williams Helm-Draper-Eaves Maltby or EuroTwins united: Holmström-Zetterberg-Datsyuk Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi Leino-Williams-Cleary Helm-Draper-Eaves Maltby That's how I see things going. Guest E_S_A_D Report post Posted November 14, 2009 But he is not physical enough for ESAD so it must be a bad deal. ESAD reminds be of a quote from a Ron White "he's one of those guys who likes to go home, watch Roadhouse, and beat off." Guest Crymson Report post Posted November 14, 2009 Then why pick him up? He's getting paid $500,000. You do realize that's steep for a guy of his caliber. I'm still waiting for you to admit to completely talking out of your arse here.
Guest E_S_A_D Report post Posted November 14, 2009 I'm still waiting for you to admit to completely talking out of your arse here. I like Drew Miller more than 12 Red Wings on the active roster.

Inultus 12 Report post Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) Nice to have a hometown boy come in, regardless of how long he gets to stay. Also, yes the girl in that story is still alive, although I can't verify if she is over her illness or not. Edited November 17, 2009 by Inultus
Yzerfan1999 81 Report post Posted November 22, 2009 I don't know if this has already been addressed, nor does it really matter. I just want to make sure my eyes aren't failing me, but does Miller already have grey hair? I always see him during the anthems and he looks like a 45 year old, yet I think he's only 25.
