Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 That's quacktastic. But seriously, he pointed at her to have the stick and the second guy in was probably just a drunk ******.
miller76 463 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 I was watching as well. I couldnt believe what I was seeing. But you know what, thats Anaheim for you. Everytime I go there for a game, s*** like this happens. Stupid people doing stupid things. I am sure they are all sitting in Santa Ana at the jail instead of those nice expensive seats they sat in all night, watching the Ducks blow a three goal lead! egroen 384 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 It looked like the guy in the blue might have been related to the little girl, and that the guy in the dark shirt was at the very least a drunk, belligerent *******. Blue shirt guy looks to be largely blameless in this one, and you can't fault the lady next to him, whom was probably his wife or girl friend, for trying to jump in there. P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 lol! some of you are a bit harsh. remember, idiots exists everywhere Amen. Not often can we see a player giving a stick to the audience when he is in the spotlight like that. This could've happened at any arena as all you need is one moron. Especially while it's not after the pre-game skate but after the game when more people have gotten drunk.
JayUp88 1 Report post Posted November 20, 2009 idiots exists everywhere Agreed but yes its to bad that happened. If he did take the stick from a kid he's a jerk. I've been to a couple Wings things where they've thrown puck in the crowd. Once got one thrown right to me. I was pretty pumped to get it but I knew the kid a couple seats to the right of me might just enjoy it that much more so I tossed it to him.

Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted November 20, 2009 Hahaha! f*** Anaheim. Wow, lot of misdirected hate in this thread. Hockey players are probably the most giving athletes in sports. Even though I can't stand Anaheim, here you have Niedermayer (a ****** I think since he elbowed Datsyuk) skating like 80 feet down the boards to go give a stick to some kid. There was obviously some reason he went over to her. Maybe he spotted her during the game or something. Because players don't typically skate that far out of their way just to drop off a stick. My point is he really wanted THAT kid to have that stick. And then, for him to have to stand there, helpless and watch some ******* assholes try to rip the stick away from the kid. Personally, I find the whole thing disheartening. I feel bad for the kid. I feel bad for Niedermayer. What do think Niedermayer is thinking afterwards? Probably that he can't give out sticks anymore or else he'll have to personally hand them over to somebody. It was a kind act that ended in spectacle because of some asses. That's never good for anybody and quite frankly, as much of a dick as I can be, it just really made me sad to see that kind of thing happen. I don't care that it was Anaheim. That's just really sad and disappointing.
