I don't care what kind of fans Chicago has as long as they keep selling out. More money being brought into the NHL = a higher cap = we retain our talent.

You guys whining about Chicago's fanbase are pathetic. Think about the greater good here and how it benefits the Wings. We can actually have a worthy rival again in the West.

All of the jousting between fans is a natural and fun part of the rivalry process. If we are all friendly and chummy with every Hawks fan I don't see how it becomes a 'worthy rival'. Nothing wrong with the banter, as long as it stays somewhat relevant/appropriate.

Nobody said you had to be chummy or even like them. Just to quit bitching about every stupid thing. Like you said, it's just supposed to be a goofy rivalry but when Hawks fans do the "Detroit sucks" chant it seems like half the members here start PMSing and going ballistic over it.

Does anyone know if Bickell will dress for the Hawks tonight? He's a guy I grew up with, and someone I consider a good friend to this day, but I haven't had a chance to speak to him for a couple of weeks.

I think the Wings may lose this one. I think Chicago is out for blood after last year. With Hossa back, they will be looking to get some for sure. With our depleted lineup, I'm not sure if we can hang. We will for certain have to outwork them. I hope we don't lose the next 2 games and go 0-3 in these 3 games.

Oh for f***s sake. Go watch the Pistons or something. Based on that logic, they would have beaten us the first game they played us.

I expect that the Wings will win. The cocky Hawks are going to take the game for granted and Huet is going to crumble.

I hope to see a great chess match of a game with Defense being the thing that leads to a win- in either direction. Obviously I want to see the Wings win, and these games are HUGELY important, but I think this will help solidify our team in great ways.

I have conflicted feelings about this game. On paper, we should lose big. But I got this feeling that it's gonna come together with the AHLers we call our our 2nd, 3rd, and 4th liners any day now. Might as well be today, right? My guess is the outcome will be decided by which Ozzie shows up.
