A quick question about Phoenix

Then it was easily possible (and probable) that there were more Wings' fans in attendance at the game tonight than Coyotes' fans. It certainly appeared so. I believe they sold out tonight, fwiw.

by the way thanks for the help

Red Wings are 17th in attendance percentage-wise and 6th number-wise.

It's good considering the economy though.

I think Phoenix's attendance is going to gradually go up over the rest of the season. Right now they're in the playoffs and with the way they have been playing I don't see that changing. In the playoffs though they are screwed as they have Aucoin and Vandermeer on the blue line.

“I thought we started a little bit slow, but as soon as we got our legs under us, I thought we pretty much controlled the game,’’ Howard said. “I thought we were at home (with all the Red Wings fans in the stands), this crowd is unbelievable. Great way to start this road trip."

I went to a pheonix game two years ago with the fiances family and it was about half redwings fans. The cheering was louder for the red wings and there were chants of "Red Wings" pretty fun.

Simply amazing that were in top 5 for attendence, yet our economy is in the biggest s***hole of all the teams!

That's awesome to hear! Detroit was in a "recession" way before any other city was and to hear that our attendance is still in the top 5 is awesome.By the way guys I just wanted to share something with you. It's 3 in the morning right now and I've been drinking a little and I just got home from Santinos it's a bar on the east side on 27 mile and Van Dyke,we had a good time,my cousin had a little birthday party there.Well while we were waiting outside in the FREEZING cold for valet a big LET'S GO RED WINGS!! chant was started!! I was laughing my ass off!! lmao!! It was hilarious!

Michigan has been losing population for the past 8 years. In 2008 Michigan was one of two states to lose population. 2009 Michigan was one of three states to lose population again.

Many Michigan residents have relocated to Arizona, Cali, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, ect... because there are jobs there where there are none in Michigan. Which is why you you see alot of Wings fans at the games when Detroit is on the road.

Wouldn't think Avs & Ducks had such a low attendance average.

LA was hit rather bad by the economy as well, and it supports both the Kings (downtown) and Ducks (North O.C.). Burke, Pronger, & more left in the last year too.

I'm convinced that they're coming here to Jersey too. The most-sighted license plates I've seen on the road here for the past year or so have been Jersey (obviously), New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Not a day goes by that I don't see at least a half dozen Michigan license plates out here. It's bizarre.
