adubs 8 Report post Posted January 3, 2010 Red Wings are 17th in attendance percentage-wise and 6th number-wise. It's good considering the economy though. I think Phoenix's attendance is going to gradually go up over the rest of the season. Right now they're in the playoffs and with the way they have been playing I don't see that changing. Great way to start this road trip." I went to a pheonix game two years ago with the fiances family and it was about half redwings fans. Detroit was in a "recession" way before any other city was and to hear that our attendance is still in the top 5 is awesome.By the way guys I just wanted to share something with you.It's 3 in the morning right now and I've been drinking a little and I just got home from Santinos it's a bar on the east side on 27 mile and Van Dyke,we had a good time,my cousin had a little birthday party there.Well while we were waiting outside in the FREEZING cold for valet a big LET'S GO RED WINGS!! chant was started!! In 2008 Michigan was one of two states to lose population. 2009 Michigan was one of three states to lose population again. Many Michigan residents have relocated to Arizona, Cali, Colorado, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, ect... because there are jobs there where there are none in Michigan. LA was hit rather bad by the economy as well, and it supports both the Kings (downtown) and Ducks (North O.C.). Burke, Pronger, & more left in the last year too. The most-sighted license plates I've seen on the road here for the past year or so have been Jersey (obviously), New York, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
