Happy 1 million post to a 'true' Wings fan site where you can still post a legitimate hockey discussion post with nothing controversial or disrespectful in it and have it deleted within an hour without a courtesy notification from the administrator as to why.. Mine was a post about a new injury. What was urs??

I thought I fought for these simple rights for our country...

Oh well.

I give this post 5 hours

But, GO WINGS!!!!!

1,000,000.....unbelievable and slightly depressing since I've posted 16,000+ of those 1,000,000.

Get a life, NFM25!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

Jokes on you because I collect obscure Red Wings jerseys. That would be the perfect sweater to frame and put up beside my Yan Golubovsky jersey (and yes, I had to google that).

don't let it be drake cause he would all have us in slow mode on the forum and only he and the other mods would be able to post over and over.......

hahahahahah=)

Holy crap, I was thinking about this, I joined LGW at my first teaching job (note yeah I was a crappy teacher joining discussion forums and don't teach anymore) that was in 2000. When the board was real small and we all knew the Trolls (drw) like younger brothers.

(Wipes tear) I have been through more career changes than this board has been format changes.

Still the only website that I visit every single day!

In 10 days since reaching 1 million posts, LGW has recorded nearly 10,000 posts. Anyone think it's possible to reach 2 million posts in less than a years time?

I'd say that depends on how many more times the Wings get jobbed by the refs...

This is true.

Also, taking into account the several hundreds of posts in each GDT, as well as the inevitable "___ Thousand posts for a Wings victory!" threads, I can see it happening.

How about a post for 500,000 posts for a Wings Stanley Cup Victory?

Yeah, that wouldn't last long.

The "X posts for a victory" thread really tend to chew up the bandwidth here on LGW. We don't mind them when they're smaller amounts (and this is a playoff only tradition, BTW), but 500,000 posts of nothing but one word posts, YouTube clips of dramatic chipmunks, and pictures from FailBlog/Philosoraptor/Advice Dog/etc, would be way too much.
