I hope Franzen isn't pushing it to hard to have a chance of playing in the olympics.

He won't be able to play in the olympics unless there is an injury to the Sweedish team. The IIHF has dictated that rosters are locked and unless an injury or "extraordinary circumstances" occur, the rosters submitted are the ones that will be honored in February. I wouldn't worry about this. I would worry more about him pushing himself too hard.

I'm not sure why people think this should be an automatic win. The Islanders are 6-3-1 in their past 10 games. They been playing much better since the start of the season. This game will require a full effort to get 2 points, just like they all do.

Update on Kronwall's Ultrasound.

UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- An ultrasound on Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall’s left knee Tuesday showed nothing, which is good news, general manager Ken Holland said.

“Everything looks good structurally, the soft tissue looks good,’’ Holland said. “This reassures us it’s nothing significant. Everything is where it’s supposed to be and functioning as it should function.’’

As a precaution, Kronwall will see a nerve specialist on Wednesday in hopes of learning what is irritating his knee. The club hopes Kronwall, out since Nov. 21 with a sprained MCL, will respond to some medication he received on Tuesday.

“We’re hoping in the next 24-48 hours he gets some relief,’’ Holland said.

No, go back and read the entire conversation on page 1 and 2. He said when E returns, Meech is out. I corrected him and said Janik is likely out. He replied with an insult by saying that I have only been watching hockey for two years.

The argument was Holland is going to move Meech before Janik, which he was clearly wrong. Like I said in the first 2 pages, Babcock doesn't care how you 'feel', he's not going to change his entire plan based on some random internet person's 'feelings'.

Now he must eat crow for being a ****** bag... and for being wrong.
