You know that thread on here about why 'you're' a Red Wing fan? That's when I fell back in love with the Wings. When Bowman put them together. I did not believe my eyes. Sure the brute force in hockey is a wondrous thing, BUT DID YOU EVER?? And will we ever see such power, line talent and grace again? I think not.

But you're right about their evolving. The Wings' leadership is just too stable and strong for them not to. Just don't know what form it will take. And did they call to ask my opinion? HELL no. :angry2:

I'm right!?!?!?!? I have 2 kids. I'm NEVER right! I will log off with that! Thank you!

Great 2 pts no matter who it is against and we are slowly making our way back up the standings.

Imagine if we would have got 2 against the Islanders ... but no use crying over spilt milk.

Why didn't Howie get at least 2nd or 3rd star with 37 saves on 38 shots?

In regards to the upcoming scedule, can anyone tell me if we're the only team that has to travel across the country (Dallas to Chicago) on back to back days? (Saturday @ 2; Sunday @ 1 i think...)

Just seems like the Wings have had ridiculous amount of travel prior to playing Chicago... they had to go from Dallas to Detroit, if I'm not mistaken, the previous encounter with the Hawks.

It was actually Dallas to Chicago, and then to Detroit. Both 3-0 losses.

Alright, wasn't sure, but still feels like a LONG way to go on back to back games. It makes those games against Chicago that much tougher.

I know he probably won't be a Wing much longer but I still love watching him shake things up on the ice. When he and Draper (and Holmstrom) leave, it's gonna feel like Stevie's moving on all over again. :bye2:

O Christ - move on already. The number of 1990's slappies on this forum kill me.

Good solid win tonight! Nice to see the PP starting to click again! Hope it continues. Great to see Lids finally score!

Helm continues to amaze me with his phenomenal speed and work ethic! Awesome job guys!

Read your own signature.

3 Cups in 6 years, that's a dynasty by any way you count it. Finals in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002. You're saying there's a reason not to be nostalgic?

Damn, it's impressive written that way. Since 1995, Finals in 1995, 1997, 1998, 2002, 2008, 2009. Insane.

The immature assholes on this forum just seem to be growing in number. I wish we could have just regular discussions without all this attitude.

On a depressing note, the Wings victory means nothing much, LA is beating the crap out of Anaheim. 4-0 in the 2nd now. We're still one point behind 8th. Hopefully the WIngs can break their habit of 2 or 3 good games followed by devastating losses. It's bad enough we have to count on LA losing in bunches in order to make up ground.

Not totally depressing, we got a game in hand on LA.

And if we play it and get the 2 pts, we'd be ahead.

The '90's are worth remembering. Good players deserve the respect and admiration of those of us whose lives they made happier.

Because those shots weren't anything special.

I'm less concerned with being in the playoffs today and more concerned about being in the playoffs after 82 games. All that matters is piling up the W's. Right?

I'm thinking what Babs and the team is thinking-- 100pts or bust. Hell, let's go with 50 wins or bust. :D

Howard better buy some dinner for the guys in front of him who cleared all his massive rebounds, the carolina goal is a typical howard-act, statistically he got great numbers but im not comfortable at all, especially not in the playoffs if wings make it there when the game and tempo changes dramatically...
