Hey, look at us! That puts us in 8th, right? I'm sure some people will be happy about that.

Well, for a few hours at least. LA plays a battered Anaheim team that just lost Teemu Selanne, leaving them one talented player (Getzlaf) tonight. Pretty likely LA will win and leapfrog Detroit bya point again, but let's all get our mojo going for Anaheim.

Now excuse me while I forget I ever rooted for Anaheim.

Good win by the guys. Never thought I'd say it but Bert was the best player on the top line. Nice pass to Hank for the tap-in goal.

Howard played solid except for a couple of bad rebounds and especially the one on the goal. Ericsson looked good, love his puck-moving ability. Lids was shooting a ton which is awesome. Hank and Pav still have a ways to go before they're where they should be.

Canes are a bad team. It's not hard to see why they're last in the league.

Nice stick lift by Malts.....yeah, he's worthless.

I know he probably won't be a Wing much longer but I still love watching him shake things up on the ice. When he and Draper (and Holmstrom) leave, it's gonna feel like Stevie's moving on all over again. :bye2:

It's hard to let go of the old gang.

Good win and that's all we can ask.

Can't really control what the other teams in the West do with their 3 point games. We just need to keep winning and not have any more off nights like that Islanders game.

We've got some tough games coming up here in the next week or so.

God, yes. Ah, the wild and crezzy days of the Grind Line. They were right up there with the best lines in the business with their grit and intensity; just like the Russian Five were the best at finessing opponents out of their...jerseys.

You even brought The Five up. I will cry in my beer now. This slow evolution into a powerhouse once again is taking it's toll on me.

Nice to see us with a playoff spot again.

Pretty good game overall....great to see Nick finally get another...and Z too.

We need to cheer on the Ducks (typing that made me puke in my mouth) and for the Bruins to beat the Sharks.

You know that thread on here about why 'you're' a Red Wing fan? That's when I fell back in love with the Wings. When Bowman put them together. I did not believe my eyes. Sure the brute force in hockey is a wondrous thing, BUT DID YOU EVER?? And will we ever see such power, line talent and grace again? I think not.

But you're right about their evolving. The Wings' leadership is just too stable and strong for them not to. Just don't know what form it will take. And did they call to ask my opinion? HELL no. :angry2:
