As much as I loved going into games knowing the Wings were going to win for more than half my life, there's definitely something exhilarating about being in a playoff race, about making every point count, every battle for the puck, every shot, every save, every penalty.

Ozzie need starts to keep warmed up. That's a fact. Tonight showed why he needs more starts. Unfortunately, the Wings are not in a position to throw out starts to Ozzie to warm him up. Maybe once they are 4 or 5 points up on 8th/9th, then Ozzie should start more games. Who would we turn to if Howard goes on a bad streak or goes down with an injury (and with the way everything has been this season, that's a big possibility)? Sure, we can bring Larsson up from GR, but who's the one that will be with the team if we get into the playoffs? Gotta keep Ozze ready to go if Howard goes down/starts sucking. But, we gotta be several points into the top-8 to give Ozzie more starts.

I hope we don't approach this game the same as last time, because they owned us the whole game. Howard won that game for us.

It was not Ozzie fault at all, I am putting 95% of the blame on Bert. How can you outplay a team like this the first 2 periods and only manage 1 goal? We didnt have anyone in front of the net and that is where bert should have parked his rear. 0-5 on the powerplay is not gonna cut it either. I still have faith we can grap within the last 3 seats for the playoffs.

I said winning 50 games a season is exciting too. This is exciting in a different way. You know that feeling you get in OT in the playoffs? It's like that, to a lesser extent, every game right now. And it's exciting. It's fun, in a torturing-yourself-fun kinda way.

Didn't Theodore play one of his best games against us tonight? It does not matter who owns who and what happens through out the game , but the only thing that matters is the team that gets the two points. I can say we dominated the Capitals in every aspect of the game tonight. Except for a few minutes late in the third. The Kings dominated us pretty much the entire game, except the last few minutes of the third. The team that plays better and loses does not get any consolation. Well, except in the Overtime and Shootout.

On playing the kings, yes I think the Wings have to approach the games as a playoff game. IF they Wings play like they did against Chicago, I think they will win.
