Even scarier when adults cannot deal with it. Trolls are easily ignored, but many choose not to which just fuels the troll. Just because they say they are fans doesn't make them fans. It's just something that you have to deal with and Harold lost it and showed how not to deal with it.

Although I agree that this loss was not Ozzie's fault, you must admit that 5-hole goal was weak. You cannot defend that goal. It should have been stopped. Sometimes you defenseman are going to get undressed. That's why the goalie is there.

2. Hit Bert with goalie stick everytime he takes a penalty

3. Tell trainer to sow Ozzies pads together

Still, those who are still in doubt in us making the playoffs I just LOL at you. So we sit like 5 points back of 5 in the West? By my count we have over 30 games left. Since when did the season end today? The team played well up until the last few minutes of the third period. Also, stop singling out individual players. This is a team sport and while Bert may have taken a bad penalty and Ozzy screwed up here and there means the team just didn't play well enough to get a W.

And I think you know what I mean about it being fun. Not in the traditional sense for most people, but I'm enjoying it, and I know other people are too. I don't care if people hate it, I just can't stand people giving up on the team. I won't be giving up until they're mathematically eliminated (which won't happen).

I didn't say we need them back, though I do think that will obviously be a gigantic boost.

I just think it's funny how much everyone has given up on this team. Obviously we're spoiled, it's been a given to make the playoffs for 18 years now. Do you think that for the past 18 years, fans of teams in 9th place, only a few points out of 4th, with 30+ games to go, just give up on their team? It's not what we're used to. It's weird, it's frustrating, but it's also exciting. Have some fun with it.

A little reminder for the Ozzie bashers on here:

Last start was December 20th, 2009. That's 29 days since his last start, over a month. Let's see any goalie do well after a month without a full 60 minutes played. Hell, he played better than expected considering that fact. Unfortunately, that fact is gonna be ignored by those that hate Ozzie. It was a 1 goal game, and the forwards didn't put out what they should have. That missed opportunity by Bert in the 1st Period is the most glaring example there is, not to mention going 0-5 on the PP. Can't waste chances like that in today's NHL.

Yes, Ozzie is having a bad season. But, like Howard's s*** rebound control, Ozzie's 5-hole can be worked on and fixed. Hell, we were pretty much dry-humping him in the PO the last 2 seasons. Once the Wings get a few points into the playoffs, then he should start getting more starts than Howard, or at least more than what he has been getting lately. Like I said, we need him warm and ready in case Howard goes down.

Just back from the game ... well, that was obnoxious, as were the Caps fans who heckled me that "It must suck to be out of the playoffs!" and that the Wings "can't buy the Stanley Cup anymore!" ... to which I calmly asked for the Caps fan to provide more information about how to win a Stanley Cup, given his franchise's great history.

Anyway, on to the game ... couldn't tell exactly from my vantage point, but I have a hard time faulting Ozzie for any of those goals. Maybe should have had the second one, but if Stuart doesn't get turned inside out, he's not in that position. 1st and 2nd goals were crap defensive breakdowns (and the 2nd was because of a stupid penalty) and the 3rd was just a fluke.

Beyond that -- I'm pumped for the rest of the season. Playing on the road against the No. 1 team in the East, still shorthanded, the Wings SKATED CIRCLES AROUND WASHINGTON. The top line looked great, the defense absolutely stuffed Ovechkin and a lot of guys skated really well. If they play like that the rest of the season, they will EASILY get into the playoffs and could get to the 4th or 5th seed. I'm very happy with how they skated, I think they did a better job clearing the front of the net than they had and the PK was spectacular until that last stupid Stuart play.

Things are looking up. Keep the faith, people.
