VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Wow, Carcillo is a ******. He didn't even give Gaborik a chance to accept a fight, just started wailing away at him like Gaborik was a rapist or something. What an overreaction by Carcillo.
RedWings Gone Wild 6 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Wow a Flyer acting like an immature douchebag? Stop the presses!
miller76 463 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Carcillo is a piece of crap. Limited hockey skills like big George. This is where the fight skeptics come out, and say 'enough of the fighting'. These ****** bags take it to a whole new level, that doesn't need to be reached.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Heh, the guy Philly traded Carcillo for scored a natural hat trick tonight and is closing in on 20 goals.
cjm502 165 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 f*** Carcillo. Gaborik is one of my favorite non Wings. He is the best player in the NHL today IMO. Now if he never suffered those injuries, imagine what he would be.

Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Gaborik can handle himself. He dropped them with Carcillo and Cillo did what any fighter would do: fight and give no quarter. Nothing wrong with that. I prefer this over the staged fighting.

These ****** bags take it to a whole new level, that doesn't need to be reached. Not an accurate comparison at all. Carcillo is actually a very gifted hockey player. Swayze 81 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Girardi is an awesome team mate, letting an injury-prone all-star take a beating like that, sitting back and watching all the while. He should have moved in right when Carcillo grabbed Gaborik. On the flip side, props for Gaborik "trying" in this one.
brett 1,029 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 doesnt look like he took any damage anyway..mostly connected with his shield/helmet
elriqo28 2 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 no big deal. he punched his visor and helmet a lot. i bet carcillo got the worse end of that one.
Wings_Fan_In_Exile 3 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 I say good on both of em. Carcillo gets the NYR's best offensive threat off the ice for 5, and Gaborik stands up for himself (albeit slightly ill-advised).. And say what you want, but I'd trade a Carcillo for a Maltby in a heartbeat (well not a heartbeat, I mean Maltby does the PK, but you're pickin up what I'm puttin down...) thedisappearer 291 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Gabby dropped his gloves, Carcillio kicked his ass, an held up when Gabby hit the ice. Isn't that how fights are supposed to go?

jeff48109 474 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 rangers nation is pissed, saying Carcillo went after Gaborik. oh how delusional, Gaborik dropped his gloves first, what was Carcillo supposed to do? not fight? lmao
daniel1 32 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Props to Carcillo, he stopped throwing as soon as Gabby hit the ice, he could have really tuned him up, instead he actually held Gabby up as he fell so he wouldn't hit the ice hard and stopped throwing punches when Gabby couldn't defend himself. I don't give a s*** who the player is or how much of a pretty-boy-goal-scoring-dangling-pansy he is, if he drops the gloves on me, I'm throwing punches right back just like Carcillo did. Good for Gabby for making the effort though, the only way to get better at defending himself is a little practice and some experience.
blues_demitra38 11 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 rangers nation is pissed, saying Carcillo went after Gaborik. oh how delusional, Gaborik dropped his gloves first, what was Carcillo supposed to do? not fight? lmao Not only that but Gaborik didn't feel a thing with that big ole visor he's lugging around on his face. I'm sure that would make anybody pretty confident gong into a bout.

I'm sure that would make anybody pretty confident gong into a bout. in the post game interview, Torts was saying how there's no honor in fighting his star. Carcillo could have done major damage when Gaborik hit the ice, but he held up. I know carcillo isn't a popular guy here, but nothing he did was wrong. the whining and bitching by the rangers is just crap
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Avery is the story of this game for me. Everyone says how much of a doucher he is, but all night he was sticking up for his guys and not backing down from anyone on the Flyers. Good on him, and Gaborik, that's just a good hockey game too watch.
Datsyuk2Zetterberg 1 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 not a big gabby fan, but good to see him stick up for himself. And what's up with that D that didn't do anything at the end lol, he's just standing there.
