WingsfaninGermany 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 The NHL will most like see this as 'unprofessional', which it probably is. But I can't help loving the comments he makes. It is really entertaining.

seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 He and Larry Brooks have a long-running feud, if I'm not mistaken.
Doc Holliday 1,888 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 This is why I'm glad the Wings have Mike Babcock. Torts is effective and I like that he isn't afraid to speak his mind, but he is such a tool sometimes. Get over your obsession with hating Brooksy and just answer the ******* question. It was a legitimate one, too.

Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Torts is not one to back away from conflict. This was pretty damn funny. Since when did the NY Post decide to report the news?
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 The funniest thing was the awkwardness of the guys in the studio when they cut the presser. This isn't something new from Torts, he always acts like an ass.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Gotta love Torts haha. Larry Brooks seems like a huge tool, just an annoying little bug. He just loves to poke the bear with Torts, they've had a few good sound bites before with Tort's telling him to f*** off. I'm sure some in the press think he is the man for asserting himself, but to me he sounds like an idiot.

Guest micah Report post Posted January 22, 2010 Torts rules, and I for one appreciate Brooks, though only because he provides opportunities for Torts to go off.

mmamolo 287 Report post Posted January 22, 2010 this. I can't believe they don't ban him from the pressers... Agreed. He's the ultimate jackass if you ask me. He purposes goads Tortarella because Brooks is craving some spotlight and he knows Torts will oblige. What's even worse is that Brooks knows Torts has a line he absolutely cannot cross. Even if by some miracle Torts did cross that line and say something hilariously inappropriate Brooks would still win on two fronts: one, it'd draw a s*** load of attention to Brooks' article the next morning and two, the NHL would fine Torts and fat boy Brooks would giggle and jiggle his fat ass all day long at knowing he just cost Torts a cool chunk of change. And that's how weasels operate. I doubt Torts has the power to ban him. I'd think he would have by now. Obviously Brooks' boss (no idea who he works for) thinks he is doing a good job or it would be someone else's beat. I suppose they like having that sort of noteriety. It makes for a story, which is what sells. Brooks reminds me of the kid on the playground who plays marbles by himself because when all of the other kids tried to play with him, he alienated them by being a socially incompetent hosebag, so now he just sits and plays with his own marbles and tells himself how great his shot is because he always wins.
