taxijim 11 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 It seems a shame to me that Helm's line will become the 4th line when everyone returns.....they have been the most consistent line & have given a honest effort almost every game.

That's perfect for a 4th line though.

Plus, it may be very possible that the Helm line would be the best fourth line in the league.

Gee we used to be able to say that about our first line. I guess that big lifetime contract is too heavy for Zetterburg.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 Willy was going into the corners, bumping a bit, and playing good before he got hurt. I'm willing to give him a second chance, as long as he doesnt turn back into 2007 Jason Williams. If he plays like he did with Columbus last year, he'll be fine. cupforwings 138 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 Am I the only one who kinda forgot Williams was even on this team? Yes. I still cannot figure out why everybody hates Williams so much here. He was playing pretty good at the beginning of the season, no worse than any of our other top players. He is defiantly more skilled than both Eaves and Miller, hands down. It's good to have hard working energy guys like them, but they don't have the goal scoring ability that Williams does. He was backchecking, going to the corners, and playing hard before he got hurt. He really hasn't had a chance to play when the team has been playing good... I just can't understand how people hate the guy so much. If you want players like Miller and Eaves to play in his spot, than kiss our playoff chances goodbye. We need more skill if we want to compete.

Lidstrom for life 20 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 I can't wait to see Kronner back on the point on the PP. Meech just isn't good enough. Yes. And as much as I love him, Stuart doesn't belong on the PP either.

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 Yes. And as much as I love him, Stuart doesn't belong on the PP either. I'd still take him over Meech, however. Stuart has a good shot, he should use it more.
chrisdetroit 189 Report post Posted January 25, 2010 Before they got hurt Homer was #1 in points for the team and Kronwall was #3. Z was #2. Just increadible that a team can lose the #1, #2 and #3 scorers for a significant period of time and still be in the playoff race. I am stoked to get these guys back.
