umredwing11 2 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Does Draper ever look to pass the puck? I don't think so...ever. PK coming up and one of our best defensemen is in the box. 2-0 we can come back from, 3-0 I am not seeing. Lets kill this off boys.
BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 yeah nice play by helm.....except he never scores and doesn't finish this time around....
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 When it rains, it pours. Good night, all. If that's the case, this season has been a tsunami from hell.
stuck in socal 56 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 I wish they could win this game. Gotta kill the penalty first.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 A hand slapping motion came.....after the puck hit his glove. Uh huh.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 That explanation wasn't very satisfying and may even be untrue.
Pucks 66 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 What a crock of s***! now you can bat pucks into the net against the Wings apparently.
soonboomer 31 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 No surprise. The Wings used to play poorly in this situation even when they were good.
CanadaBoy 151 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 I said it yesterday and I will say it again today. If the Wings score the next goal, the Wings will win. If the Ducks score the next goal, the Wings will lose.
wings7 62 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Ericsson with another horrible play, Howard bails him out again.
thegerkin 189 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 So, just to make sure I have this correctly... we win one game (last night) and as this is unacceptable, they are back to making s***ty decisions on pucks for goals? Oh boy...
stuck in socal 56 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Just need to get one goal and then this is a game.
umredwing11 2 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 A hand slapping motion came.....after the puck hit his glove. Uh huh. This goes right alongside Brad May's non-goal earlier in the season and that Stars "goal" in the shootout. I don't think the Wings have benefited from goal review yet this year. Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 I said it yesterday and I will say it again today. If the Wings score the next goal, the Wings will win. If the Ducks score the next goal, the Wings will lose. If no one scores the next goal, the wings lose.
brett 1,029 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 cmon wings winning this game would put us in a really good spot in the standings. get with it
Dano33 41 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 A hand slapping motion came.....after the puck hit his glove. Uh huh. Toronto's explanations make it worse. Here's what I take from the explanation: They didn't deny that he tried to direct it in, he just wasn't quick enough. That seems a but suspect to me.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Well, that period was dumb as hell. It would really please me if the Wings never had to play the Ducks again.
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Just once I'd like to see the call go our way. It seems like the reviewed plays go against us 10-

Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 I fully expect the Wings to come back in this game. Not the best of periods, but both goals were total flukes. A deflection and a batted in with the hand goal that should have been called back.
GMRwings1983 8,803 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Looks like the San Jose game may have been another cock tease. The Wings have excelled at one game winning streaks this season. Anaheim just wants to make the playoffs more at this point, with their recent play.
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 The Wings' defencive zone coverage is the exact opposite of what it should be. Everyone swarms the puck like it's Mite hockey, unless the puck is down low in a dangerous position, in which case the other team has all the time and space in the world. Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Ugh. I come in to check on the game and this is what I find? I want to be shocked, but I can't even fake it anymore.
stuck in socal 56 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Well, that period was dumb as hell. It would really please me if the Wings never had to play the Ducks again. I hate when the Wings have to play the Ducks. The games are always torture to watch, and the Ducks cause huge problems for the Wings.
SliderJeff 11 Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Boo hiss. Wings looked ok, but not great. Once again, can't bury the chances we have. Our D looks completely lost out there at times. A number of shoulda-been penalties by the Ducks that go uncalled... but the obvious stick hold on Stuart gets called as interference on DRW, of course. Oh well. Two seeing-eye goals and that makes it 2-0 bad guys. Let's hope we find the back of the twine more often than than do at the end of the game.
