and yes, I used vulgarity, which most of you will note I never use on this board... that is how annoyed I am by the right-wing nutjobs with thef****** Obama comments when it has NOf****** RELEVANCE ON THIS BOARD
For the record, this is not directed towards the OP, as his link was actually pretty funny, because of the tagline and the obstruction connotations... this is directed to all the people that take this as an open invite to start making half-assed, ignorant comments because of the door they thought was opened by the link...

This is a RED WINGS MESSAGE BOARD - a board to discuss the Red Wings, NHL and hockey as a whole, not a place for people to spout off about their own personal agenda's and this goes for both ends, liberal and conservative.
Furthermore, religion, sexual orientation, racial prejudices, etc, etc... have no place here.
This has been an increasing trend on this board lately and never leads to anything but flaming and derailed topics and needs to END NOW.
All I have to say about Holland and our off-season:

To be fair there is a board for political discussion I think... or there was a while back. On the other hand, general discussion should be about hockey, hockey and hockey! And sometimes jokes about hockey.

Exactly, that's 100% my train of thought... if someone wants to discuss politics, more power to them, just do it in the appropriate place. To be fair there is a board for political discussion I think... or there was a while back. On the other hand, general discussion should be about hockey, hockey and hockey! And sometimes jokes about hockey.

Agreed. There are boards for politics and everything else under the sun, and this isn't the place for politicizing. Problem is, it allows people to snipe and sidle in with cheapshot comments (I've done it myself where I agreed with the bias) and that's just not fair. And it invariably causes hard feelings which is simply not worth it. Yeah, the OP's point is funny but it's also political, and therefore is out of place.

"He even ate with women who at that time were accorded the same status as the family donkey. Are we willing to break bread with, say, child sex slaves, transgender teens and undocumented workers? Because when Jesus comes back to Earth, that's where he'll be hanging."
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.
Money on the Board - 100 bucks on the base. From here on, one buck per puck IN goal, win or lose!
Total right now: $110.

It's only political if you believe the OP was trying to make any point other than "he said obstruction just like Therrien did."
Just because Obama is in the OP compared to Therrien doesn't mean he is being attacked in any way. Calm down.
I would also like to point out Stev responded to a post made IN FEBRUARY. Let it go, guy.

Exactly - it has no place on this board - it didn't in Feb and it doesn't now.

I'll let it go when people pull their heads out of their asses and stop making comments/posts where they don't belong

Perhaps you need to report the post in question and not throw a hissy fit about it.
Everybody wins.

HankthaTank - Squirrels, they hate to be thrown. / Why is the magical unicorn named Brian... Jedi - I just downloaded the "kids" book, "Go the F--k to Sleep" as narrated by Samuel L. Electrophile - I'm just glad the Wings were able to win despite the Curse of Brian. ACallToArms - I think Trey needs to put something about payroll tax and deferred income in his sig... Edicius - I'd rather [have] a soundbite of me saying "I like (man sausage)" rather than "I like Crosby".

This is against the board rules and should be addressed on its own, not by someone having to "report them"Perhaps you need to report the post in question and not throw a hissy fit about it.

I'd rather people just learn to respect the board and the other posters here and follow these rules on their own without a mod having to police them. I'm not, nor have I even been the "run to mommy and daddy and tell on someone" type - I confront things head on.

If you remove the post and warn the poster then you don't have to go on your little "grr I hate politics in general discussion" tirade.

I'd rather people not ***** about people breaking the rules and instead use the report function like they are supposed to.
And to compare using the report function as "running to mommy and daddy to tell on someone" is ridiculously juvenile.
