2/11 GDT: Sharks 3 at Red Wings 2 (SO)

What can I say about this one? Do I think the wings will win tonight? Yes. Why? Only because it is San Jose. This is the first game back from a long road trip which scares me though. If we lose tonight, we're gonna start drifting off in la la land, especially with other teams at our heels now.

I have to say, if you asked me a couple weeks ago how excited I was during this season, I would have told you I was enjoying it immensely albeit very frustrating we can't string wins together and may miss the playoffs. This season, every game has meant something. But lately, I do not look forward to the games as much because I am losing faith that the wings for this year, are gonna get it done. They do not look anything like they did in the past years or even last year. I don't know what it is exactly but they better figure it out quick.

I have been looking at every regular season game as a playoff game. I get super excited during the playoffs, can't wait fo rthe next game to start. That's how I've been. But after the St. Louis game, that has gone away. I hope we make it, but I am just losing the faith.

After every skater gets a hat trick, Howard takes the team lead in points when he gets the only assist on each goal. The team then decides that they have the Sharks in the bag, and take the rest of the game off to beat the massive lines forming at Arby's.

The Sharks however, persist and make a stunning comeback, winning in overtime 55-54 after they pepper the empty Detroit net with 213 shots.

I can't wait to see Meech and Lebda out of the lineup. Our D is so weak right now. I bet all the guys can't wait for this break (both Olympians and non)

Z and Dats need to be split up. They need to start preparing for playoff hockey, instead of taking backwards steps. I think we'll see a completely different team with a completely different attitude in 2 adn a half weeks.

I really wanna see this team in a playoff spot before the break so they can work on building from there after the break. But it could be tough. Hopefully the wins against the Sharks keep coming, gotta gain some momentum since this could be the 1st round series.

Thats what I am thinking... in the article about last game Babcock sounded suprised that switching up the lines worked... It makes sense... Zetterbeg-Datsyuk-Franzen vs Healtly-Thonton-Marleau.. then let the 2nd 3rd and 4th lines battle it out.

So my mom, dad, and brother got 4 tickets for tonight's game. I am a little less than 2 hours away at school but don't have Friday classes. So I told my mom I could make it home in time after my class that gets out at 4:30 and she told me not to come because the roads are bad...so she gave the extra ticket away. Sooo disappointed, but GO WINGS!
