Florida Acquires: (D) Mathieu Roy

Columbus Acquires: (F) Matt Rust

This is going to be a big pick up for Columbus. Matt Rust is going to be a great player.

Granted I'm biased because he's a former teammate...

dustin boyd for a 4th surprises me. i think he still has a lot of potential. i got to see him a handful of games in a couple ahl stints, and the guy was good. he was always put on the 4th line with goons and then they wondered why he wasn't producing. considering he was a 3rd rounder initially, i see this as a loss for calgary. he could be a guy like howard or quincey that just needs a chance to play to really get it going.

My dreams for Tradeday was to see.."Edmonton (or other crap team) aquires Brett Lebda from the Detroit Red Wings for a Pencil Crayon and a 4th round draft pick" :(

Oh well, every team needs a pylon I guess

Funny how since the lockout the trade deadline isn't really a big deal, but the media makes it a big deal. Funny too how we all get sucked in.

Edit: I had a half day at work today, and I too turned on TSN this afternoon. But I did fall asleep in front of the TV for an hour at least.

I couldn't agree more. I think this may be the last year that I follow it live. It just ended up being a waste of my time.
