From what I saw in highlights, Pasha looked absolutely awesome!

Too bad he couldn't capitalize on his dangles!

I'll tell you what, if he'd have hit that shot from between the legs, I would have jumped through the ceiling. That move was pretty cool. And it didn't look like he even looked when he got that deflection goal. I had to rewind it a couple times to look at it again. Unbelievable.

That game left me with a good feeling about what's going to happen post-olympic break. If they can play at least like that down the stretch, I really think there will be a post-season for this team. Barring major issues.

Whenever the Wings win, the teams around them win. Same for when they lose, too. I don't know how it is every team in the league is on a 60 game winning streak and the Wings are still in it, but there you go.

Anyways, last night was a very pleasant, Wings-like win. They still do that every now and again. Now most of their important players are going up north to goof around but at least guys like Howard, Stuart, Ericsson, who have played a ton or have been burnt out lately can rest up for the stretch drive. The Wings just have to worry about their own games on the other side of the break and they'll still control their own destiny.

In any case, everyone in the West has a stellar record against the East except for us. Just gives us another reason to hate the Pens I guess.

We suck at them, while other teams seem to feel confident in the shootout. It's always been that way with the Wings, but in the past it never really mattered in terms of playoff spots.

Hell, if we even won half the shootouts we played we'd be in the playoff picture.

Don't forget, that teams who've finished 8th in the past often did it because they garnered all those shootout points.

These shootouts are how mediocre teams get into the playoffs.
